Default SA Friday - Sinister Minister in the 6th

Still amazing this guy was ~ 9-1 in the Derby. I felt my heart jump abit as I look back through the PP's and see Barbaro, 6.5 length winner on May 6th 2006.

SM is working lights out, but it is no shocker based on the speed ball that he is. I think he is a bet against, but not sure where to land. I like Neko Bay but 8 months off is a lot to overcome, but he will have the set up. I found it interesting that Cnak choose hanger County rather then ride back on Neko....I guess it is possible Drysdale wanted Espinoza though. Racketeer at 9/2 is appealing. The 5th is a great race too - lots of talented horses, and this is a great pk4 for a Friday.

We argued about this a while back on here (not you and I but a whole group), he is a bet against the rest of his life, he ran that huge back at Keeneland that is he DONE, and will ALWAYS be bet because of that effort.

As evidenced by his finish and races after the derby he should have been 30-1. For some reason people did not want to believe that his win in the blue grass was extremely bias aided after like 10 of the 13 route races at Keeneland up to that point at that meet had gone wire to wire. Was the first horse I completley threw out last year.

Track bias or not...That was the most convincing ass-whoopin's I've seen in recent history.

Anyone with access to a replay of last year's Bluegrass Stakes ought to revist that one...

kinda upset he did scratch, as he was gonna get beat at a short price. My theory on the day was, and still is, beat Baffert. Beat Tenfold in the 5th, Sinister in the 6th, and Hockey in the 7th.

I wonder if Sherriffs has Neko in the 6th cranked up for this....I think he is a bet against also. Guess that leaves Racketeer, Mambo and County....

Like Mr. Katz and the obvious chalk in the 7th, and the 8th is set up for some good prices - using 1,3,4,6

Why is Neko a bet against? All he has ever done is bust his a$$ trying to win.

My mom liked him in the Derby....that makes him a permanent bet-against. I could not agree more.

I bet him in the Derby. Was a horrible decision but I dont expect to hit the Derby anyways. Betting High Finance (who I think wins tomorrow) in the Belmont was an even worse bet.

An abscess was cut out of SM's foot DERBY week. SM missed a number of days of training as a result.

This was public knowledge.

Assume, for a moment, that you didn't think the Bluegrass win was biased;

you're still not betting the horse in the Derby.

Slower figs then the rest, off the pace style, and an 11 month layoff......at 2-1 or so I think he is a play against but could he win, heck yes he could......just not value for me there. I am wrong MUCH more then I am right though. Bet away scuds.

Don't understand why people think the only speed in the 6th race is now gunna be Devil's Bay.Mambo Train just led a race down the hill, and I can't see that horse allowing Devil's Bay a 47 or something stupid.

These odds are bullsh1t... I realize it's 16 min to post AND the 6 and a longshot are scratched, but everythings an underlay from M/L...a 20-1 going off @ 7-2.., etc...

Not giving these so and so's (I've said worse about SA ) the benefit...will watch this one..
