Shake you Down put up beyers higher than 108 and I believe ran for a 5K claiming tag last year on multiple occasions.

Yeah, but did he put up a 108 Beyer whilst running for a 5k tag?

Oh, I misread your post.

No way, Shake You Down only put up high beyers when running in good races. When he ran for cheap tags, he was lucky to run 60's.

In a 8 or 9 day span there were two 105+ beyers ran at Charles Town. I don't know what level the other horse was running at but I'd have to question these #'s a bit. Maybe BTW or someone more familiar with these #'s could help out here.

Charles Town is usually slow as dirt. I don't have the horses or times in question, but it's not out of the question that something relatively simple could lead to this anomaly. Further, classy horses like Outcashem, for instance, find their homes at Charles Town. It's not abnormal to see a relatively decent Beyer in some of the 4.5f sprint stakes they have there.

this same horse ran a 1 on thorograph numbers just 2 races ago, and the last race came back and won a starter allowance at laurel and ran a 2. the guy that lost em for $7500 claiming had claimed him for $45,000 just 2 races and only 2 mos. before. i dont quite know how but he is back in the hands of the the previous owner and trainer anyway.

He's cheap speed that is all. He ran about a week ago at Laurel and was like 3/5. He veered out a bit and was DQ'd to second. He is a monster in races so short quality never gets a chance to run in them. If he were looked in the eye by a good horse he would fold. That being said, he is speed and that is a cheap race. He'll likely win there.
