Default Showvivor 2 @ Santa Anita

Santa Anita is starting a Showvivor 2 contest next Saturday the 24th. The top three finishers were from Pa.,Kentucky and Texas. The winner got $5,000 and I think everybody on this board should give it a try.http://www.santaanita.com/showvivor/

Agree.

So, let it be known to all, this is the official SHOWVIVOR Thread...picks start on Feb.24th (a Saturday).

I plan on posting my picks here. The winner from the last game went 28 rounds, I think.

This time I'm not going to be tempted into taking horses in races I don't do well with. Or big fields. Maidens, maiden claimers are my forte and unless I see a 5-horse field that has two throw-outs, that's where I'm sticking.

I'm going to use the same handle I use here "2HOT4TV" and it would be nice to see names from this board finishing in the top 100.

With the hours I work on I have to place my pick before I go to work. Most days I am really just throwing a dart, but even a blind dog finds a bone.

I just signed up. Didn't do it the first time.

My first thought is like Brian in that I'm afraid that I will forget.
Therefore I'm going to do what 2Hot suggested and make it part of the morning ritual.

correct.....but it is harder then one would think. I cant find one for today....I hate to have to use a maiden race or a cheap claiming race, dont feel any horse in there is even close to predictable....

I prefer maiden claimers for something like this. I find that with higher class horses, who are all winners, its harder to eliminate horses. It seems like with the cheaper maidens its easy to find several that are just not even close, and others that are likely to be on the board.
