I wished I had played it. I was told to wheel him on top of everyone but I passed. I jumped all over Showing Up to WPS and was well rewarded in part because Lewis Michael didn't hit the board. Somebody bet huge money on Lewis Michael in the place and show pools. I actually got more to place than to win on Showing Up. I am still shocked they allowed KD to go off that long. I think he was like 9-2 in the ML and he went off at 25-1.

I didn't bet the race, actually didn't see it at all. But congrats on your winnings.

Thumbs up Showing Up

Yes, nice place return of $7.80... amazing.
I too had a Win and Place wager on Showing Up.
Congrats to all who liked him going in, especially the poster who confirmed that Tagg stated that he should love the turf.

Tagg is a pretty modest guy. When he says something you have to listen. He actually owns/trains another Strategic Mission named Stratonic, but has been unable to get him on the turf. When he does, watch out.

You can watch it an NTRA.com. Even the gallop out. Showing Up is a machine. I love how the announcer says "Showing Up inhales Kip Deville". Should be an interesting summer/fall for this horse.

Then maybe you shouldn't have picked outperformance. Barbaro wouldn't have destroyed these, although I think he would have won. The time was too impressive for anyone to have destroyed Showing Up. Moot point though. Watch the gallop out, Showing Up had a ton left in the tank.

Who the heck cares what a horse who will never race again(Barbaro) "would have" or "wouldnt have" done? You may as well bring Secretariat into this and theorize how he would have done? Who cares?

The fact is Showing Up ran huge yesterday. He was the only one who could pass the pacesetter who almost speed popped this entire field.

Kip should have been the third choice in the betting. The ML had him at 9-2 or somthing like that. His huge place price was a result of the huge money bet on Lewis Michael in the place pool. In my opinion, Showing Up, Stream Cat, and KD should have been the three top choices. Don't know where the Lewis Michael crowd came from.

He ran 3rd in a maiden race that was moved from turf to the dirt because of the bad weather. He should run huge on the turf.
