Default Second episode of Wedding Bells tonight

At 9pm on Fox...opposite trash like Identity and Wife Swap it's in a decent slot (although Fridays are generally a graveyard for new shows). I watched the premier last week and enjoyed it so much that I watched the rerun...this is the funniest show I've seen on TV in years, at least of the hour variety. Some of the dialogue was brilliant...witty one-liners and great acting! The characters...especially the three Bell sisters are instantly likeable and supporting cast...the goofy husband, the insightful photographer, the charming chef and the wedding singer add humor throughout. Also their black, take charge assistant...I fell out of my chair when the two blonde twins told her, "we're afraid of black people" followed by "do you have a record?" Seriously...a funny show worth a try!

Are you sure you only watch like 1 hour or so of TV a night?

Yep, no TV today so far (even though it's snowing like crazy after 60 degrees yesterday), spent morning out with my horse and afternoon on computer and reading some Sartre and listening to Juliette and the Licks. I will watch a bit more tonight as I want to watch NCAA tourney and this show. Yesterday, the only TV I watched was Duke losing!

I've never heard of this show. The only reality tv show I watch is America's Next Top Model which is the best show on TV. Catty b.itches everywhere. Tremendous tv.

Wedding Bells is a comedy, not reality TV...just started last week. The only guilty pleasure that I allow myself is Idol...otherwise I hate reality TV. I agree with those who say the influx of reality TV is the first sign of the coming apocalypse (that's a joke by the way).

I already have it set up to record. We can discuss it later! I loved the first episode.

Buffymommy,
I enjoyed episode #2, not as constantly hilarious as the first as they took a little time for some serious character development but the story lines were great. Loved the wedding...omg that was funny...threw every gay sterotype in the book at us! Good songs too!

I haven't watched it yet, but I've wanted to.

Anything with Sherrie Shepherd is good in my book.

I really like the entire cast...the story lines have been great, I mean this episode opens with the youngest sister shooting a drunk in his bare johnson three times with a pellet pistol....too funny!

I know, it makes for great comedy though! They play off every sterotype you can imagine. With the prospects of Veronica Mars being cancelled, I'm glad to find something new to watch.

I am very bummed to hear about VM. I am angry too. I love that show. Was the last episode we saw the season finale? If so, I didn't realize it. I thought it sucked if that was all we get of Veronica. Although I read on eonline that they are thinking of revamping the show and kinda fast forwarding five years and make her an FBI agent.

I think there are 3-4 episodes left if I recall correctly. Yeah, Kristen on E-online first announced it was being cancelled and the next day said one of three things would happen...cancellation (still most likely), revamp to Veronica in FBI in 4-5 years or continue with current format. Kristen is not the most accurate...she claimed Angel was renewed for a season 6, that Firefly was coming back etc...so we'll wait for the network but the ratings haven't been so good so...! I've seen the first two episodes of Blood Ties on Lifetime now...can't decide whether I like it or not...story lines and characters are ok but filming is weird!

I wanted to watch that show but I missed the first one and thought I may be confused.

Did you watch that October Road that was on last Thursday? I started it but my husband wanted to watch a movie so I stopped watching it. (I have it on tape and will finish it tonight.)

Also did you watch Raines with Jeff Goldblum? That looked decent. I have it on tape (don't I always?).

No...none of those. Despite some folks' comments here that I watch so much TV, I actually watch very little...the only shows I watch every week if possible are:
American Idol (top 40 on)
Bones
Veronica Mars
House
Wedding Bells
and, for now at least, Blood Ties
and sports of course
Blood Ties could be good...the four main characters seem interesting, the two main females especially. Based on a series of books, the plots have been ok, the character development looks promising (the lead female has retinitis pigmentosa (sp) and is going slowly blind so she quit the police force and started her own PI business)...love triangle with her, her cop boy friend and a 450 year old vampire who is the illigit son of Henry the 8th. Add a goth girl who's bf was killed by a demon so she came to work as the PI's asst and you have a interesting cast set. First episode had one vampire (the above) a lower level demon and an upper level demon (similar to Charmed mythology), episope two featured zombies and voodoo high priestess. My only complaint is the way they light and film it, also the vamp fight sequences are too fast for me but it could be pretty good. They replayed episode two last night at midnight...knowing Life Time, they may replay episodes a number of times. It has simularities to Buffy and Angel of course...worth a look!

Yeah, but they never will! Not unless Joss writes and directs it! I try to judge a show against other stuff on Tv, if I use Buffy as the comparison I'd never be satisfied with anything. This show has possibilities for me because of the characters. It's like Forever Knight, I fell in love with that show, moved it up to #3 on my favorite list...the story plots don't match Buffy, but I love the main characters and it makes me think about most every episode...real morality plays. Compare it to anything besides Buffy and it stands out...compare to Buffy and...
