Default Happy Birthday Steve Haskin..
He'll be utterly mortified by this, and he like "PSH" didn't register his birthday for public display, but it's DTer Steve Haskin's birthday and it's not too late to slip in a thread... (It may also produce his 2nd post ever..)

So Happy Birthday Steve, one of the earliest members of the original Y! Derby Trail and the individual most responsible for anything good that's happened to me as a race journalist.

i don't usually join in these cluster f's but since you did write back a long thoughtful response to an email from some anonymous intenet doofus (me) back in 2002 i can sincerely say...happy birthday.

anyone can be good at what they love to do. very few can communicate so well that passion. even fewer make time for noob's.

you're a good man, steve. hope this is a great year for you.
