Default Keeneland Wed. (4/18)

Little early, but I spent some time with KEE PP's last night.

In early part of card I really liked #1 Just for Kicks in the 2nd. Instead of win bet on 5/2 shot, I am looking to take a stab at early pk4.

1 / 2,3,5 / 4,6,10 / 1,4,5,7,8
$45

Late pk4

1,4,6,10 / 1,2,6,7, 8 / 1,5 / 5,8
$80

Probably too big of a ticket, but I got cheap on Sun. And it cost me the pk4....

Good Luck!

with Keeneland fever setting in, i've also been doing early handicapping.

first pick four

race 2
pp 7 Fabulosity ml 10/1 – surprise in store?
pp 1 Just For Kicks ml 5/2
pp 2 Bolshoi Ballet ml 5/1
pp 4 Reito Peito ml 9/2

race 3
pp 2 Quietly Mine ml 5/2 - ready to roll
pp 3 Weather Warning ml 8/5

race 4 race is loaded with speed, should set-up up for off the pace score
pp 4 Tactical Candy ml 5/1 - solid sprinting form, should pop on the turnback, go-go
pp 10 Come On Cathy Ann ml 12/1 – right style right jock
pp 6 Slew Proud ml 6/1 – maybe dangerous if takes to poly

race 5
pp 5 Simply Divine ml 3/1 – may be hard to deny
pp 7 Cute Cakes ml 6/1
pp 8 Unforgotten ml 8/1
pp 4 Im Classic Quality ml 7/2

I like the 1 in the second a lot, so I will press on it. However I do think that the 7 and 2 have upset capability. So I will also use them.

I think the 3rd goes through either the 2 or the 3 and I can’t separate them.

In the fourth I think its either the 4 or 10.

In the fifth I’ll go wider giving preference to the horses with good previous starts, 5 and 8, but also using 4 and 7.

First PK4 - 1 2 7// 2 3// 4 10// 5 8 4 7
48 combinations

Still working on the second PK which looks tougher.

Hooves, You certainly cleaned up in the first half at KEE. Thanks for that. Hopefully you will still throw us some bones when those big bombs catch your eye...

Has Steve given AJ a catchy nickname yet? Maybe the "Lexington Lunatic"...

He does find a tough group to meet off the layoff, but has been training very well up to this race. Loses Castellano to the probable favorite and while I'm not crazy with Jara I have to make a bet on this horse tomorrow. good luck.
good luck DH..I have seen him breeze a few time this month and he sure looks ready to fire big off the bench. I also think Dubai Gold will run big at nice odds for Frankel/Lep

GD!!! I had singled the #7 in my early PK4 play, and she gets cut off twice down the lane!! Not a great ride, and I am not sure if she was going to get the winner, but it would have been close. Damn...that would have been a nice hit to start the PK4!

No action taken! That is ridiculus! The 8 should have come down!

The seven was finished and would not have won. I had the seven so I was hoping for him to stay on.

If they leave this eight up I'm going to go ballistic!

How can you say she was finished? No way, she was digging in and even got back into it a bit. No way was she going to catch the 1 or keep up, but the 8 interferred horribly. She got beat on a bob, by a nose for 3rd. She wouldn't have won, but 2nd was possible, and 3rd was easily in reach.

unbelievable! There is no point in using inquiries or stewards at Kenneland
there is never an objection and nothing gets taken down.

that horse was all over the track and interferred with half the field BS!!!!

She was finished in terms of the win, that's all I meant. the interference which was real, did not cost the seven the win or second place.
