![]() Just read in my local paper that one of his owners are from the same city as me! So my heart play is for him...
He would make a beautiful dressage horse. That is my take on his looks.

He's mine too Buffy. My Dad is blind in one eye now from a cornea problem. Plus he's grey. He's a worker. Great article in the Thouroughbred Times about him.

Also on hand at Kaplan’s barn Friday morning were the co-owners of Storm in May, David and Teresa Palmer. The Palmers are longtime clients of Kaplan and Storm in May is currently their only horse in training. The couple’s former stakes winner, Mr. Livingston, now stands at stud in Florida and they have their own broodmare band. They live in Jupiter, Fla.David Palmer is a co-owner of Livingston Builders, a general contractor in Palm Beach, Fla. He and his wife have owned horses for about nine years.“I’ve loved them since I was a kid growing up in California,” Palmer said. “It’s an honor to be here. It’s every horseman’s dream to be here. I feel pretty optimistic.”Teresa Palmer explained how Kaplan offered them a share in Storm in May. “We were at the Derby last year, visiting David’s family in the area, and Bill called us asking if we wanted be partners on ‘Storm.’ So it was one year ago. We made the transaction on Derby Day ’06.“He told us that the horse was gray and a lot like Mr. Livingston. And he told us that he was blind in one eye. We’ve been with Bill for nine years and we trust his judgment, so it wasn’t a problem. Besides, Pollard’s Vision (who could only see out of one eye) was a multiple stakes winner and he ran in the Derby (2004).”Storm in May’s breeder, Kent Hersman, was also at the barn at Churchill Downs for the first time this week. A chief warrant officer in the United States Army currently serving in South Korea, Hersman was granted leave so he could attend the Kentucky Derby with his family. Storm in May is the first Thoroughbred racehorse for which he is listed as breeder. Hersman purchased the colt’s dam in-foal to Tiger Ridge for a bargain $7,500.Prior to Kaplan purchasing Storm in May as a 2-year-old at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales in 2006, the colt was broken and trained by John and Jill Stephens’ Stephens Thoroughbreds in Morriston, Fla., the same team that worked with 2006 Kentucky Derby winner, Barbaro.
