Bailey's pomposity drips from every word he writes or utters on this, and most other, topics.. His failure to acknowledge the realities of Steve Wynn's intent in this endeavor is the critical mass in the depth of his eagnerness to shill for them..

I think I'm the only guy on here who likes Bailey.
He's the kind of guy I would want on my team, confident, knowledgeable, successful. |

Statements without substance by Mr. Bailey
In fact, the Johnstons have pioneered safe and effective track operation and management, along with improvements in living and working conditions for the hard-working men and women on the backstretch Someone want to check and see how many fire violations Balmoral Park, one of the Johnston's--"safe and effective track operations" have had in the past few years. Backstretch areas at both tracks, Balmoral and Maywood are runned down and in need of major repairs, from what I read on other forum boards, including horsemen who post on those boards. Excelsior is the right choice for New York racing, for New York taxpayers, and for local communities alike. JERRY BAILEY Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Nice of Mr. Bailey, a resident of Florida to know whats best for NY Racing and its taxpayers. Is that why Mr. Bailey resides in Florida a state who doesnt have a personal income tax. Go sell some DVD's in Century Village to the seniors. |

"To further augment our understanding and connection to New York horsemen, we have held several 'listening sessions' with breeders, trainers and jockeys to ensure that our proposal addresses the needs of each of those constituencies."
Sure would be nice if they were equally as concerned with "listening" to the fans... |

Jerry....stick to riding horses....you are NOT a business man. Just like Michael Jordan who should have stuck to playing basketball.

For the record I was not one of these gaga guys who would go nuts and bet every 3-5 shot that he rode. I'm just talking about in general how he comports himself. Most people see him as arrogant, I just see it as confident. |
