Default keep my dad in your prayers please

my father went to the doctor on Friday because he has been short of breathe lately, next thing he knows, he is in the emergency room getting his heart tested. Found out today that he needs triple bypass surgery which will be done tomorrow afternoon. I can't believe it, nor can he or anyone in my family because he is only 54 yrs old and seems to be very healthy. I'm a little worried about the surgery and I know he is as well, but I'm just glad this was caught when it was and he didn't have a heart attack.

Damn, sorry to hear that. From someone that assists in heart surgery, it is a pretty routine surgery, but from someone in your position, it is anything but that.

I will be thinking about him tomorrow...

Bingo. It is a very good thing they caught it now.

My Dad went through the same shortness of breath thing. Ignored it and ended up with a heart attack. He was/is a heathy stud. Triple bypass. Still tromping through the woods and climbing into tree stands at 70 (10 years after the heart attack). Also just played a golf marathon with his three sons (that nearly killed me) a couple weeks ago, 126 holes in five days.

Your father's health will be a positive in his recovery.

Thoughts and prayers Bro.

Irish: I'll keep you and Dad in prayers! Actually, it was a good thing it was caught early....many people don't get that chance.

My dad had a very similar operation about 10 years ago and he was his old self again not long afterwards, I'm sure your dad will be the same. I remember how nervous I was at the time though, best wishes to you and your family. Hope he makes a quick recovery.
