Halfway over. The way I see it we have 5 possible teams that could win the World Series:

White Sox
Red Sox
Mets
Astros
Cardinals

I will stand by my beginning of the year prediction of the Astros winning it all as I think they have by far the most upside of any team in the majors and their team is built for a 5-7 game postseason series. I left the Cardinals on here as well for the same reason, except their pitching isnt nearly as good as Houstons. I see the Cardinals and Astros becoming the 2 hottest teams in the Majors over the 2nd half, landing both of them in the postseason.

The division races look very tight this year with the exception of the NL East which clearly will be a runaway. Both the AL and NL West divisions will come down to the final weekend.

I see the Detroit Tigers fading and having to fight it out with the Yankees for the AL wildcard, which I sincerely hope Detroit gets.

I dont think the Yankees or Reds make the playoffs. Yankees certainly have a shot if the Tigers fall down (which I think they will) and they dont suffer a let down. But I am saying NO to both of these teams reaching the postseason.

Watch out for the second half blitz by my Twins...just a little hitting from someone besides our all-world catcher coupled with our pitching and we can make some noise!

They have no weapons to get even remotely close to the Mets, add to that the fact that the Mets have them by 13 games and the Braves have absolutely no chance. I'd be very surprised if the Braves got any closer to the Mets than 10 games.

You all believe what you want. By season's end, I predict that they will be competing with the Mets to win the division.

They have a legit shot at the Wildcard. Then they can do the usual fold in the first round. The Mets have already won the division. It is statistically impossible for any of those teams to catch them, simply because those teams are all terrible. The Mets aren't as good as the AL teams right now but they will beat up on the NL all year long. The Mets are stacked with talent.

Now just because I am a woman ya don't have to get all snippy. I can have faith if I want to. They are in the .450 range I think, if I am remembering correctly. Won their last five. Getting their pitching and hitting going now.

STILL kicking myself for not picking up Chipper when he was dropped.

Wrong Wrong Wrong on almost every account

AL East--Blue Jays
AL Central--Detroit
AL West--I have no clue--I will say the Angels
AL Wild Card --Yankees
NL East--Mets
NL Central--Reds
NL West--I have no idea--I will say the Dodgers
NL Wild Card--St Louis

AL Champs--Detroit
NL Champs--Reds

World Series Champs--Reds.

Eurobounce, you taking the f'n Reds? Well,Buffy's Braves are only 5 games below .500(my bad BUFF-I thought they were 9-11 below .500.)There are only 4 teams in the National League that are above .500(that is weird, but I think it's true.)I think her Braves have a shot at running down the Wildcard spot(they won't catch the Mets though.)I'll be surprised if the Reds make the playoffs.Looks like San Diego,Mets,St. Louis, and Houston (or the Braves.)
