Derrick Fisher
In an era when it seems like so many pro athletes just "don't get it", here is a guy who restores my faith in mankind. The sight of him arriving late in the playoff game this past season and then helping to lead his team to a victory after coming from the bedside of his young daughter who just had extensive surgery for eye cancer was, in my opinion, the story of the entire playoffs. Now we learn that he has asked out of his $20 million contract to be able to spend time with his family while his daughter hopefully recovers, the team has granted this request (good for them) and he and his family will search for the best city regarding her care...I hope he gets back into the league but regardless...he is a true hero, as he said..."family comes first"...All my respect to you, Mr Fisher...I'll pray for your daughter's recovery!

D-Fish is a good man! Hopefully they will find the right doctor for his daughters treatment. Have dealt with Cancer before....but not with a 2yr old! Godspeed and prayers for them.
