Default Congrats Peter Berry

Peter Berry a DT board member will call the WV Derby tommorrow on ESPN. This the first time they have not brought in a "national announcer". Peter keep up the good work and thank you for your contribution to the game

This is good news. Peter is one of the best.

Does anyone remember the call on last years WV derby?
Dave Johnson must have been watching another race, it was horrible.

yeah, it was godawful. almost as if they didn't let him know until five minutes beforehand...oh, by the way dave, you're the caller...sounded like he put in no effort, no planning.

Peter does a great job unlike the racing secretary at MNR who has older stake sprinters carrying 109 lbs while 2 year olds are all carrying 114 or higher. The weights in these stakes are so stupid it is amazing. I understand that it is a big change from writing $4000 NW2 races but when you have stakes races with riders 7 and 8 pounds over, something is wrong.

I had a real big win bet on him, what a nice horse Kev. He was hopeless at the top of the stretch, no shot
