Default Is TGM having a garden party?

Rumor has it The Green Monkey's going in a 6.5 furlong race on the turf on the Travers undercard. Is that complete crap or are we all invited to a party on the lawn for the next turf *ehem* "superstar"?

I'm hoping that stands for British Columbia or something.

Ah someone got it mixed with race 3 (1 1/16 on turf for maiden 3yo and up). His is race 2 I bet. Here's the condition book. http://www.equibase.com/premium/eqbH...0815-20070903D

Seems much more sane then (can't imagine 1 1/16 on turf for his debut). It's only 6 furlongs also, not 6.5. Must be prepping for the BC sprint eh?

Yeah I keep forgetting he's no spring chicken. Time flies when you're a monkey with a pulled butt muscle.

Just lurking to blow away in the next steeplechase. Voss or Shepard going to by privatly for 20k and get him some black type in the hurdles so he will have some stud value.

I just read this on Handicappers Edge today:

Unraced three-year-old THE GREEN MONKEY (Forestry), who sold for a world-record $16 million at auction in 2006, stopped the watch in 1:00 3/5.

When asked if The Green Monkey would be ready to make his debut by the end of the Saratoga meet, Pletcher indicated that "it will be close."

My guess is he does'nt run....

What does this mean? He's gonna see how hard the race comes up and if it's not easy breezy he'll scratch? I dunno if I've seen a horse run before that was actually made of glass. I thought it was just an expression. Should be interesting if he actually gets in the gate.
