Doh...... i knew i shouldn't have opened this thread. I have recorded the race and will watch it later.

He won seven lengths???? wow.

I know they think HUGE amounts of him at Gosden's. When he won first time out they thought he was only 50% fit!!!

Judging on the morning prices, i thought he was plenty short enough on the evidence of the Ascot win (time wasn't great and mixed messages from the form) but obviously that didn't stop him.

I will watch the recording in a short while and then get back to you.

That was some performance from this fella. No matter what he has or hasn't beaten, he could have done it any easier.

He got a bit warm at the start, and he had to wear the Monty Roberts rug to go in the stalls, so is he isn't completely straight forward, but as he matures he might loose that side of his character.

Jimmy (Fortune) said the plan was to make the running, but he was a bit sluggish from the gates.

He was also caught out wide on the long bend, in about 4th place.

Always travelled very strongly

Came up to the leaders doing handstands............ and without Jimmy really having to do much he went fours lengths clear in a matter of strides, he was only just kept up to his work and kept pulling clear before Jimmy eased down in the last half a furlong.

EDIT: just to say he knocked almost a second of the track record for 2yo's, and he wasn't far off the track record for the older horses, either!
