Wow Smart Strike's fee explodes

$75,000 for 2007. Kinda just shot up. Someone tell me that didn't just happen right after the Classic was over but it feels like it almost had to've.

smart strike no doubt goes out with the top sire award, he already passed ap indy after his bang up day a few weeks ago. this was the icing on his cake.

He was announced at $150k last week. I doubt it goes up but one never knows...

Ah so this is before the Classic...yikes, I guess it depends on the demand if they raise it more.

I dont know but you had to think that they knew they had a couple of real good chances today.
I Dont know where EC is going but 1 1/2 turf horses aren't real popular in US

The demand is not a problem as they can pick and choose from a top book of mares. He is Book Full, it is just a matter of having a good enough mare to get to him.

I don't mean there isn't enough to fill the book but if there's more demand you can jack it up and still have takers, that's the point. You're right though I bet they knew at least one of these might come through so it was intuitive on their part.
