Early Pick 4 - Looks chalky unless there is a bomb in the maiden race

Race 1
3 Scarlett's Place 5-1 Good works and draws Gomez WIN $16.20
4 Morgan Lane 9-5 Most accomplished of this group. Underlay at ML odds.
5 Golden Lips 4-1 Tyler and Hollendorfer make an include

Race 2
3 Lonely Highway 4-1 Improving horse gets blinkers. WIN $11.80
5 Gregorian Bay 5-2 Fastest of group and adds Gomez. Palma 0/10 off claim.

Race 3
1 Candeye Lou 3-1 Speed and fade first out. Off layoff but working well. WIN $7.20
13 Flying Home 8-5 Most accomplished but odds terrible. Dropping in class. Off layoff.
5 Phar Too Fast 8-1 FTS that draws Flores deserves play.
4 Overt N Out 8-1 M Baze and O'Neill 2nd time starter.

Race 4
9 Held Up 9-2 Won 3 of 4. Up in class but figures fast enough for this group.
6 Roosevelt 8-1 Sherman horse back to routes and adding blinkers. Interesting.

Total play: $48

Good luck to all.

Not to weigh Hooves down but Lucarelli is up there with two horses, and he doesn't show up all that often from Nor. Cal. The 3 Yacht Spotter is pretty hot on the board right now and I don't think his horse in the next race is any good. Something to consider

So upset with myself. Had the 3 on the original ticket because Flores had picked up the mount but trimmed him off to save $24 thinking he would get more pace pressure. Paid out over $2000. Easy to redboard but I am disgusted right now since I am staring at this big circle I put around him on the form.

Good luck on your pick 6. I am debating on whether to try and rally with the late P4.

If the 2,5,6 win this race, i would almost guarantee a carryover. If not, it might be rough. Not a single favorite has won yet, including the longest shot on the board in the first leg, a notorious single leg for the skinny tickets and even for some medium level tickets.

The 9 in the last leg was 10/1 with a good jock but questionable trainer in the south (good in the north). Should be interesting because tomorrow's sequence is very enticing for the big players with hystericallady and Tiago in there.

That probably did it, but it would lock it up if the 1 or 4 don't win this race.....

I am very surprised. I bet you the tickets that were alive had the Gaines horse singled, almost had to unless someone played a monster ticket and caught that 3 maybe going 4 deep....

Sequence wasn't that hard to find if you play a big enough ticket. Both the 5th and 8th were potential singles that came through. You pretty much need at least 2 huge bombs for a double carry over in Cali. Too many syndicates playing huge.
