R.I.P Dad... you were a wonderful father
Sorry to hear Hoffy, just remember the good times. I'm sure there were many.

See you in three months at the best place in the world.

Triple H,

Sorry to hear about your father's passing. I wish you the best while dealing with these most inconsolable times. Hang in there man...

Wagering on the 1992 Derby, he liked Lil E Tee and was hoping the Pat Day could get his first Derby win. In those days, Capital OTB wager pools were not co-mingled with Churchill Downs...so for his $2 wager on Lil E Tee at Capital got him back $56.80 instead of what it payed on track ($35.60) I know it wasn't much more, but dad who was a $2 bettor thought it was great! At the Spa, he always tried to beat Cordero because everybody loved to bet him, but when he started to be "down" for the day with his wagers, he would jump on the bandwagon When dad wagered... he covered all the bases, he'd win a little and always be happy. It was never a "bad day" at the track for dad.

I know this might sound crazy but right before I read your post about the 1992 Derby I watched it on youtube.com. Yeah I loved Lil E Tee myself. I had him and Pine Bluff picked to run 1-2.

I was going with AP Indy...but all know what happen with him I ended up sticking with Technology who I cashed big in the Florida Derby. He was my second pick anyway and Pine Bluff was my third (saw him break his maiden @ Saratoga). I absolutely hated Arazi and didn't use him at all. One of the few times I was right about a horse!
