Default Kent Desormeaux may ride Casino Drive

Just got an e-mail that said KD's agent is talking to Casino Drive's connections. It looks like we will get a Triple Crown winner for a jockey.

Trainer Richard Dutrow Jr. will meet with the media on Sunday at 11 a.m. (EDT) in Barn 2 to discuss Big Brown's bid to become the 12th Triple Crown winner in the Belmont.

Also scheduled to meet with the press is Nobutaka Tada, managing director for Globe Equine Management Ltd. and spokesperson for the connections of Belmont hopeful CASINO DRIVE (Mineshaft), who captured the Peter Pan S. (G2) recently. Tada's meeting will take place in the Belmont Café at approximately 8:15 a.m.

Tada announced Saturday that Casino Drive will have a strong gallop around 7 a.m. Sunday, weather permitting, with his serious workout coming on Wednesday. A decision on the chestnut's rider in the Belmont has been pushed back until Wednesday as well.

No. Just know somebody at belmont this morning. That is the rumor back there. Sort of goes along with the Casino Drive jockey announcement being pushed back until Wed.

I hear from my inside sources (parking attendant at Belmont) that Craig Faine will ride Casino Drive into history.....

In all seriousness, there is a rumor on the backside regarding Casino Drive's jockey.

Racetrack rumors are funny. Usually they come in two categories: Hot Horse or other. The other pans-out far more often than the hot horse.

Noel Wynter? I heard Oscar Gomez. And it wasn't from the pretzel guy but the 2nd floor men's room attendant.
