It's been a superb tournament so far. I reckon the Holland Russia game will be a belter of a game. both play so attractively.. Tonight's game may be a bit more reserved, unless we get a goal soon..
Holland.
We call them Holland, The Netherlands, the Dutch.
Gotta sort things out. They speak Dutch, and they are the Dutch.
I guess they could be called Hollanders or Nederlanders.

Ok. I looked some stuff up. Its a mess.

Goal early by Croatia or Turkey and we got a good game methinks.

You see that tiny seam SENTURK had to get the ball thru? What a clutch shot. They have chronically weak D, but they are pretty clutch shooters. They got a lot of yellow cards today. Unlike most of their penalty problems, they didn't deserve very many of those yellows today. Nihat went down with maybe a hammy. Don't know if anybody good will be left to play. Will need miracle #3. This is the drama club. How much time did they have left? 5 seconds?

Great game by Russia today.
That little guy they got up front that looks
like Ashton Kutcher is incredible. He is the best
player I have seen so far (knowlege very lacking
so Brock chime in)

And that tall blond fella firing rockets from
what seemed to be midfield has the monster
leg of the tournament.

Really entertaining game.

Really entertaining game.

first guy is Arshavin who has been just splendid to watch..

2nd guy is Denis Kolodin..

have to say that i thought Russia thought the Dutch a lesson in football last night. tactically better, more creative, more passion, much fitter, it was astounding.. They have improved so much from their opening game hamering against the Spanish. they might face them again in the semis id nearly fancy them to reverse form..

Spain Italy now is more chess, but interesting.. Italians are wiley old guys but are missing their two key players in midfield Pirlo and Gattuso. Spain usually choke when they are favoured, and have lost 3 times in a quarter final on penalties on June 22nd, in 1986, 1996 and 2002. Could it be 2008 as well?

What club team does he play for?
It may have been the horrible Dutch defense,
but I saw some hesitation moves I have never seen before.
He is extraordinarily gifted with the ball. He had to make
an impact on some professional team? (Unless the Dutch made him look good)

You got the matchup.

I hate the Italian's style so I am glad they lost.
Spain v. Russia should be much more interesting.

If this is a European Championship Tournament, then why is Turkey or Greece in it? For entertainment purposes?

I can tell you, for sure, though that it's best for all involved if Turkey goes down now. Has already been many people killed from them shooting guns off in the air(in celebration.) If they get anymore wins I think they would be so geeked up that they might just try to take over the Greek area of Cyprus. I mean this is a country where the government is about to be kicked out for allowing women to wear headscarfs to college. They are basically children.

Same thing happens when one of our teams wins a championship.

Or when the Lions win any two games in a row.

Detroit: Where the weak are eaten alive.

Jeezzzz.
You live in Detroit?

Why?
That has got to be one of the most
brutal cities in the US along with maybe Oakland.

We have small pockets of Turkey, but even there, they don't usually shoot guns off until they've actually won something that atleast comes with a trophy or a flag. These people shot guns off (in a lot of places) after getting to just the quarterfinals.

apparantly, turkey only have 13 players available for the game tonight because of injuries and suspensions. so they have only 1 outfield sub.

and in some 6 and a half hours of playing time, they have been leading for just under 8 minutes of it.. incredible stuff.

good luck to them tonight, they have brought plenty of interest to the tourny..
