Has TIznows offsprings performances moved him up to one of the more desired mateings with the top mares?

I am a huge Tiznow guy and have a Tiznow(she sucked) filly that we bred but he is always going to be a few dollars below the market because he is such an outcross stallion. I bet they raise him to 50k next year. He reallly is here to stay which IMO is a very good thing.. Imagine a horse that ran well and thru his 4 year old season being a good stallion..

Speaking of apparent dogs... Has anyone seen a Smarty Jones 2 year old anywhere? I loved Smarty and thought he would be a GREAT stallion looks like another 3 chimneys nitemare. Point Given Smarty and the soon to be hopeless Big Brown.. I smell money a burning. Imagine if they didn't have Dynaformer and Medalist lol

When does performance both on the track and with the offspring overcome the less than regal bloodlines? It appears that the breeding is more for the sales than performance. Is there such a thing as a rating of mares kinda like the rating of stud is by there fee? Will he ever get any of the elite mares? I dont know the stats but it looks as if soundness is a strong quality of his.

Smarty Jones' First Winner

Champion and dual classic winner Smarty Jones came through with his first winner July 11. A daughter, La Equivocada, led all the way to win her second start by five lengths at Camarero Race Track. She ran the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:04.77 to win for S. Metal Stable.

Bred in Kentucky by Flaxman Holdings, La Equivocada is the third winner from three starters from French group-placed Dragonada (by Nureyev). Dragonada’s dam, French group winner Don’t Sulk is out of the blue hen mare Dinner Partner.

He is owned in part by Winstar who has plenty of top flight mares. He is a solid sire though seems like the first top synthetic track type sire.

Are his colts usually like pappa and develope later inthe year as the distances increase. As I remember it was late in his 3yr ond year that he moved into the top stakes horses.

They also have Exchange Rate, who is a pretty good one.

I was just at Three Chimneys earlier this month with my wife and we took the tour. Everyone there was extremely nice. My wife was probably the world's biggest Flower Alley fan (who knows why) and when she told the tour guide that, the guide had the groom bring Flower Alley out of his stall and walk him all around the barn so she could get some really good pictures, even though that wasn't a normal part of the tour.
I really like and respect the way they run their operation there, so I hope Smarty doesn't turn out to be as big of a failure at stud as the early signs seem to indicate.

His first two starters in the US were yesterday and today at Monmouth... yesterday, a filly went off favored, threw a fit at the gate, refused to load then basically refused to run. Today, a Zayat colt was a VERY impressive winner, 3-4 wide the whole way and beat a decent Pletcher 2nd timer.

Anybody calling him a failure at stud is being ridiculous. He's had two starters in the US and he's 1 for 2. Let's at least make it to 10 starters before we can write him off forever
