That's what we have done to our national currency by staying on this constant easy credit baby bottle. Seems to be this idea that we can only loan money through the same people that ripped the country off in the first place. I just don't agree with going back to that. That's the one thing you don't want to do(let the same greedy people in the financial sector be in charge of giving out loans again.) This is repeating the same mistake.

The only thing my post was about was you saying Obama wants to put people through college. I agree with you about the overuse of credit and all that blah blah blah you just said.

Just dont think Uncle Sam needs to be putting us through college. Its not too hard for someone with the drive to get a college education to put themself through school. Sure they will have to work hard, but that is a good thing. Community colleges are not expensive, and there are scholarships and loans available to tons of people. If you need to work full time and take night classes, so be it. At least you will feel a sense of accomplishment and learn valuable life lessons. Also parents can help their children out if the have the means (If and when I have children I would love nothing more than to have the savings to put them through school). I'm all for less government, less taxes, & more personal responsibility.

So you think it should be the federal governments responsibility to put the United States citizens through college?

I'm all for the govn putting our service members through college though. The men and women who risk their lives for our freedom deserve education and healthcare when they come back IMO.

I do think it is great that a lot of my friends who were going for Obama have switched to McCain (after seeing the debate) and also a few of my Obama friends say they are just not going to vote.

So I'll keep debating with the hope it can make a small difference. It wont work on Derby Trail though.
