Default NYB's open co. Stakes terrors this year..

Have mentioned it repeatedly on ATR, but have to really take note of the NYB program's open company success this year..

Commentator is Commentator and has torn it up when right for years, but how about Sweet Vendetta, Tin Cup Chalice, Rollers, Doremifasollatido, R Betty Graybull, J'ray, etc.. Been a very strong year for NY breeding program. Tin Cup was 26th New York-bred to win a 2008 stake outside of state-bred competition, and the 12th graded stake winner.

It's a great day of racing either way.

Great horses can come from any where and it's gratifying to see NY in the hunt as well . Tin Cup Chalice is a great story this year .

I tried to find the thread and can't, but I remember the conversation clearly. This is a banner year for NYB's... even if it isn't exactly the ones we expected.

Nothing beats Tin Cup Chalice beating Godolphin's newest $20 million stallion, Pyro.

I sure hope they don't actually plan on sending him to the breeding shed after the year. I'm pretty sure they have the option to race him next year.

They pretty much have to race him now. Who would breed to him?

Maybe they can go on the Lawrence the Roman plan and try and pay people to breed to him.

He just retired, but Bustin Stones was another NY Bred standout. (Carter, Gen. George)
