Warrior's Reward from Wilkes is a little interesting. How about Gomez coming in to ride Dunkirk with Prado ditching him for Alma d'Oro? Should be a neat race.

Will Alma D'oro be over 8:5?
He shouldn't be.

Nice race , this is a really good chance to review some video and really get an opinion about a few of these who haven't yet clearly defined their ability level.
Dunkirk and Alma D'oro could each take a good backing , and some of these others are at least worth a look. More Than Willing has made some good headway in each race and and headway on the turn is big in these GP 9F. A lot of these races are won when a horse makes that headway and then nobody gains position in the stretch- they all just grind home. Looked like Dunkirk did a lot of good running in the lane itself - maybe that is going to help him draw off?//maybe it will be nullified at the distance?. Warriors Reward was part of that gift-from-Barbaro exacta, and I honestly have to watch him all over again, don't even remember his run. American Dance is well bred and has some decent races on paper- have to look him over as well. lots of fun |

Warriors Reward skipped up the fence fast coming for home. He wasn't exactly "far back" but he was pretty much the only closer on that card.

Those of you who downloaded the bris PPs a few days ago may want to to download today's copy. Dunkirk's maiden race was upgraded in the RR(109 to 111) and CR(111 to 115) ratings [sarcastic oooooooooh]. Extra Extra - hot off the press Alma D'oro's Feb 15th 5f work. |

Random thoughts
How long will Jet Set Vinny be on the lead?
American Dance is the other Pletcher horse

Based on Price... Dunkirk has to perform... 1st out had a little problem with the trip ... but exploded.... don't usually like first out against winners ... but.....
They're Late chased Danger to Society and AP Cardinal first off layoff and made progress... sleeper Stately Character poor showing in Holy Bull but will see if can show better against these Alma D'Oro should improve off last American Dance needs one...

8+ wide the first turn, 3-4 wide the 2nd turn... that was impressive by Dunkirk.

If Pool #2 of the Future Wager was this weekend and Dunkirk was included, how hideously overbet would he be?

Overbet? The horse ran 7 or wide around first turn. Still had alot in drive. Plenty of other horses as you know are overbet. I would not feel a considerable amount of wagers on him at this point as being anymore overbet than those who bet Old Fashioned in Pool 1.

pretty good race
Dunkirk looked pretty tough. He may or may not be a worthy hyped horse but he is certainly on the right path to the 3yo classics. Not a bad race from Hero's Reward either.
I was extremely "upset" at first viewing when Prado seemed to be worried about riding other horses than just the 5 I had a trifecta with Alma D'oro on top, and Prado had the golden inside speed trip which is worth a ton at Gulfstream but instead chose to go W-I-D-E into the first turn. I have to watch this race again, race replays is having some delays but should be up soon. |
