Smile Pioneerof the Nile!!!!

BJI - Simply Misunderstood - Majorly Misunderstood - time for a NAME CHANGE! Let's call it the:
Greatest Winning Power Rating - or something more professional!

It's simply analyzing the horses pedigree and quantifying the horses by using a number.
It helped me to fetch the: Barbaro - Bluegrass Cat Exacta in 2006
Giacomo - Closing Arguement Extra in 2005
Birdstone upset in the Belmont Stakes in 2004
and solid win bet on Friends Lake in the Florida Derby a few year's ago.
Last year it was awful though..... I had Monba, Eight Belles, and Court Vison (as the top three)

It's basically recognizes how a horses family members (Sires/Dams) etc. performed in GI races to black type stakes winner, etc. Birdstone has been my highest number up to this point with a 887. Pioneerof the Nile is clearly much, much, higher. 1,000 would be a perfect score. We will find out on Saturday. This year I changed it a little though to allow non-raced mares to receive higher numbers if they have super siblings (like Ajina in Quality Road's pedigree). Get your minds out of the gutter! Take Care!

1 Pioneerof the Nile 950
2 Friesan Fire 943
3 Quality Road 938
4 Dunkirk 934
5 Chocolate Candy 920
6 Hold Me Back 904
7 Papa Clem 903
8 I Want Revenge 900
9 Regal Ransom 894
10 Mr. Hott Stuff 889
11 Square Eddie 888
12 General Quarters 886
13 Desert Party 886

15 Flying Private 876
16 Win Willy 868

Someone who has "pole" in their handle comes on spouting something about a BJI.

Interesting acronym to say the least.

BJI simply means Big Johnson Index.

The thread starter obviously took the time to measure them all ... and I've heard worse handicapping angles than betting on the horse with the biggest dong.

My BJI is off the charts in case anyone is curious. Just an FYI.

I bet I'm not the only one eager to search his other three posts.

I hope someone brings back the Golden Missile thread for him.

I also feel this thread should be an eye opener for those that don't understand why I don't like Pioneer of the Nile.

You're leaving yourself open for some bad jokes with that one.

2nd set Saturday was great, by the way.

I had fun.....but ultimately they are a cover band of themselves. Not for me.

I did discover the best Uncle John's Band ever today......Glens Falls, 5/5/81.....check it out.

Summer Colony is/was Polish?

Probably the greatest Polish race horse of all time.

That is what makes the ticket prices even more ridiculus.
