Can't blame him... I don't think anybody knew who the phuck that was. He looked beyond impossible. I know that Durkin handicaps the race before so he knows what to look for, he probably looked at him and said forget this one and move on like the rest of him.

Funny thing is I thought he was a decent longshot in the BCJ.

He did run well, but he was still beaten by over 6 lengths to a horse off the New Mexico circuit. So my answer is yes and no.
It's something that will come up again next year I'm certain, it's early but he looks like an early choice for the Preak, hopefully QR and IWR will be there to offer up a fair price. He was closer the pace today and he never found the best part of the track, he can run on mud, one wonders if he would have won this race if it were a fast track. The only thing certain we learned today was Mine That Bird is a mudder X10.

This proved one thing to me, I hope IWR and Quality Road get into the Preakness because I don't want anyone out of this race. What happened to FF? Stopped badly.
they already said a few days ago that the preakness won't happen for QR. and, depending on what they find with revenge, i don't see him making it in two weeks with heat in his ankle today.

Durkin didn't see this horse until he was 5 lengths in front.Very poor job.And to me POTN and the others looked like a pack of tired out dogs.Too bad for the winning connections this horse is a gelding, but at least he has a good chance to keep racing instead of being retired to stud.Goodie for us!!

Interesting notice he was 4/6 on polytrack and 0/2 on dirt until today with a previous lifetime best beyer of only 81. How's that for confounding stats? How did he only go off at 50/1? You can't always count on stats, beyers, historical angles. Duh?

What makes it worse is that you can't even embrace the small time people making it big because, besides Borel, these people are dreadful.
