Default Did anyone win $$ on the derby?

Every thread I've read, no one had MTB. Surely somebody here must have played their birthday, boxed POTN with everybody, National P3 - Rachel/ Einstein/All........
Anybody make money????????

I have a friend whose Dad got the exacta cause his birthday is 8-16. If anyone actually capped the race and cashed a ticket on it they should be too embarrassed to post it.

I know someone whose automated teller machine botched his bet and gave him the 8 instead of the 6, but that was about it.

You never have to apologize for cashing. Betting random numbers won't work in the long term but short term it could.

I had $27 left in my account after taking a beating on the early races. I bet it sporadically including $5 on Musket Man to show. Lost everything else but won $3 overall.

Had 20 people at a party and purchased a win ticket on every horse and handed them out with a few quick pick exacta boxes. So yes someone hit.. That was pretty much it. I went 12 deep in my P4 and failed to include Calvin. So that should show how much of a shock it was to me.

I was at a party with 12 people so listed the contenders 1-19 in what I thought would be likely odds and the top five got one horse while 6/19, 7/18, 8/17..., 12/13 were all paired. Then we randomly drew horses and I wound up with 6/19, Chocolate Candy and Mine That Bird. I hated both those horses and some girl wanted Chocolate Candy for his name so I traded it for General Quarters and Flying Private. That worked out real well. At least she felt bad and insisted on giving me my money back.

Mrs V had $2 win and place on MTB. When I asked her why, she said she bet it because she thought Calvin could do the double. She tells me this after the race of course, and not on Friday morning

Same story for me. I'd been analyzing it since Wednesday, and I cashed nothing.

We were with a gal at the derby who played it for her daughter, $2 WPS. The girl is afraid of birds and thought the horse was Mind That Bird. She was just dumb enough to cash.

I had $10 WP on Jazz In the Park that put me in good spot for the day, I then proceeded to tell my boss that you have to watch Borel, he tends to rise to the occasion of a big day especially @ CD .......that being said of the derby.......crickets..........

All right guilty as charged....

Just figured with all of the horses that should win out it could have been anybody.

All/1,2,15,16/1,2,15,16 for a buck = $204 X 2......yeah I know like the payoff wasn't going to be a signer.

This is just a crazy idea I use for some of the big days I will either wheel the top when I think a number of horses can win or the bottom like I did with Bernadini/Sweetnorthernsaint/All when I made my biggest score ever.

The only other requirement for my ticket is that a horse I key has to run a TGH number of a "0" or better. This year I used POTN because of the incredible things being said about his workouts and the angle that says poly horse that will move up on dirt jumps furthest forward the first race on dirt.

I am no great capper but I was lucky again this Derby.....the damn IRS took 10K worth of my luck, such a ripoff!!
