I realize you're joking... but I will play along.

I think Ginger Punch is a total bum.

However, she was 40 cents on a dollar in that race against Zenyatta .. and she was beaten 3.5 lengths to Brownie Points. It was not her usual race... and no one would argue that Zenyatta fractured GP in that race - they have different styles and GP was beat before Zenyatta got going

Who do you think is a better horse, Zenyatta or Azeri?

Ginger Punch won some Grade 1s where Brownie Points could easily have beaten her.

Well - the highest Beyer Brownie Points ever ran in dirt victory is a 93.

She beat Plaid by a half length length - and Plaid had a tougher trip and carried 5lbs more - Plaid was 4th beaten 10 at 17/1 behind Ginger Punch in a Grade 1 handicap next out.

I agree that Ginger Punch was a complete joke and massively overrated - but that doesn't mean you have to pretend that Brownie Points is good.

I wouldn't mind seeing a couple good European fillies coming over and dusting Zenyatta in the Distaff.

It's not easy to compare the two.

I know this about Zenyatta's one dirt race ... she got a 104 Beyer the same day that Tiago and Heatseeker both got 110 Beyers.

Tiago has run 8 times on the dirt .. and his 2nd best dirt figure is just a 100.

Heatseeker had never run on the dirt before - and wasn't a good projection for it and he got a 110 as well.

Reporting For Duty got a 99 .. and can't win in Suadi Arabia after being bought up after that race.

And look who was 2nd to Zenyatta that day!

Maybe Zenyatta's 104 is legit .. but I believe it might not be .. and if it's wrong, it's probably too high of a number.

That's only one race though. So I have no idea how good she is on dirt .. I just think her one dirt performance is overrated.

I know the dam of Zenyatta was about 15 lengths better on turf than dirt. But I also know the sister of Zenyatta debuted on turf - and was 2-for-2 on grass with a stakes win for a poor turf sire in Thunder Gulch .. but she switched to dirt and ran very well and never showed up on turf again.

After Nashoba's Key won that Grade 1 by 4.5 lengths and ran her record to 4-for-4 on synthetics with all major stakes wins ... I was annoying a few posters here by insisting that Zenyatta was the better horse than Nashoba's Key. It wasn't a popular position. Next thing you know Nashoba's Key dies in a tragic way ... and Zenyatta starts pounding out a string of a similar synthetic wins and she's the greatest thing.

Basically, until Zenyatta proves otherwise, Azeri is obviously the better more talented dirt horse.

The synthetics haven't been around long enough to compare Zenyatta with anyone other than Nashoba's Key. And I still maintain that Zenyatta is the better synthetic horse of those two. I just guess I'm no longer in the slim minority.

Azeri, leaps and bounds. Probably better than most females, ever.

Azeri had the speed of Roar Emotion, the class of Nashoba's Key, and the heart of Bushfire.

Tiny little thing too, saw her at Saratoga beating Sightseek and she looked at least two hands smaller.

A tank looks small next to Sightseek, she's a big mare.

My a$$ may be big, but it would hardly qualify as being tank-ish.

Sounds like we need some visual evidence to decide for ourselves.

It wouldn't be fair to knock out Indian Charlie in the "prettiest pic being displayed on the horsey board" category.

I never quite thought of it that way.
