Default Wimbledon

James Blake out in the first round
No Raffa. Figured to be a good chance for the 2nd best American player to break through in a major. Not happening.

What are the current odds of Federer pulling off the rare French-Wimbledon double in the same year?

More likely or less likely than Coccoa Beach was winning yesterday?

Great match going on (ESPN 2).
Roddick and Hewitt in the 5th set. Who could have predicted this run out of Hewitt?

I hope he wins

Or it could be fun to see Andy Murray humiliate Andy Roddick on Friday

Revolting how these US announcers like Patrick Mcenroe and Brad Gilbert kiss Roddick's ass.

As much as I dont like Roddick (or indeed Murray), I think Roddick has a chance against him Friday, if he can get through this match..

I hate Roddick but I will give him props, his game has gotten a lot better these last 2-3 years. He hits shots he couldnt hit back when he won his only Grand Slam. The probelm for him is he cant beat the big 3-4 players...which now includes Murray.

I dont think Roddick will win 1 set against Murray on Friday. Murray is a much better player, especially on grass.

I disagree, I reckon he will defo win 1 set off him, most likely the 1st. Murray hasnt faced a guy like Roddick in a while on grass and it might take him a little but of time to get used to it. Once you figure ARod out, he is very easy to play against..

I think Murray will give Roger a very hard time on Sunday. Not going to make a prediction on the winner but I will say this thing goes 5 sets...and I'll be watching with a humongous bowl of Raisin Bran filled with fresh strawberries and a hot cup of coffee.

Raisin Bran, eh

Tend to agree with your assessment there, Gander

Brit dude will be formidable on the home turf ... but The Great Swiss seems loose, relaxed, to be playing well, and has a golden opportunity to get past Sampras right now.

In other words ... good luck, Andy...

Federer easily through to the final and will most likely meet Murray, who plays Roddick in a few minutes. Because of the early finish of the Fed match, ESPN is showing a replay of last year's Wimbledon final...do they ever get tired of showing this? I mean it was probably the greatest match ever, but they have shown this during coverage of every major since during rain delays and early ends of matches. Why not show the Pete-Andre US Open final from 2002? Or something different.

Were's the Andy-Andy match?

Is NBC joining it in progress at noon or are they going to tape delay it? Either way, watching last year's final while there is a LIVE semi-final match going on is a crock of ****.

Never saw it and glad I didnt.
I bet Federer is very happy to see Roddick win.
Should make things a lot easier on Sunday.
I think Federer had a losing record against Murray and I know he lost his last 4 to him.

They had it streaming.
Roddick played very smart tennis.
Lots of little chips and subtle stuff,
not just wacking away the entire time.

F'n Roddick had him dead to rights. Should have been up 2-0. Instead Roger takes 6 points in a row and wins the set. Just as I actually started to believe that maybe, just maybe he could beat him. He s.hits the bed and lets Roger right back in the match.

I was wondering where the Roddick of last year was. He played the first 2 sets brilliantly, then at 6-2 in the tie break, the old Roddick came back. His head went.. If he can bounce back from this, it would be some achievement!!

Wow, I honestly thought that Roddick was just going to lay down in the fourth. But he battled and they will go to the fifth. Either way I have a new found respect for Roddick.
