Tim and others - Looks good for us now - no way the Twins can beat us without Liriano

Gander,
They have survived over a month without him, and held off the Chi-Sox in the meantime. Garza pitched well today, Bonser is on fire, and Silva has looked good in his last 2 starts. We'll see. But with that being said- The White Sox have the best chance to beat the Yankees... beyond the Mets that is. I was just thinking about this today. If in fact the Mets do get to the World Series. If they can send a healthy Pedro, Glavine, and El Duque in games 1-2-3, that's pretty potent. Those are 3 talented pitchers with a ton of post-season experience. And if one of those goes down, you have Trachsel on standby. Not a bad combo. |

Chi Sox romp today under a one hitter by Garcia. Pressure is really on Detroit. The thing they have working in their favor is that the twins and chisox play each other in the last series of the year. No way both teams both teams can make up ground on them in that series.
