On the other hand, someone betting to win would take smaller fields, and, in most cases, lower payouts, just about every time. As for the turf races not filling, as I commented on another thread, towards the end of the GG meet, they had uncharacteristically large fields in their turf races. Where have those horses gone? They should follow NYRA and card 3 or 4 state bred turf races a day. That'll stimulate some interest. Whatever the case, small fields and TRAKUS, on a predictable track (unlike WO), means the pickings should be easy at DMR this summer. |

There are reasons why I like betting Australia and Woodbine. You have to be comfortable with your betting strategies and right now these are the tracks I feel most comfortable with. |

Nashoba Express is related to Nashoba's Key isn't he? He's nothing like how his half sister was though

Did a little homework for this race last night and it wouldn't surprise me if Afleet Eagle wins today if he can handle the surface change. His last at Woodbine was very good against a legit field.

Vladimir Syringe. Good call CSC.
Unfortunately a horse who needed two races at the maiden claimer level wins a stakes race in his 4th race. It's a f.ucking miracle. If you're a horse owner wouldn't it be wise to send your stock to Syringe? |

I thought it was a nice race. Maybe I should start giving Baze more credit.

Without trying to tout this horse too much but anyone that has viewed Afleet Eagle's last 3 races will notice this is a horse that is steadily improving. Not sure why he was ever offered up for 50K at one point and I am not sure if Cerin was being sincere when interviewed after the race on saying he thought this horse would stink on turf, granted he didn't beat much yesterday in terms of a quality field but on the other hand he was much the best, and more importantly showed a good turn of foot as his last 1/4 will attest to. He might be alot better than what his past p's suggest.
He kind of reminds me of Laragh. |
