It's absolutely amazing the lack of respect that McNabb gets down there.

Kevin Kolb might be hurt more than they are letting on. If thats the case, it makes sense. He'll throw in some new wrinkles into the offense, even if it's as a decoy. What defense in the league would be able to cover this package, McNabb in shotgun formation flanked on both sides by Westbrook and Vick. D-Jack and Maclin as the wideouts, with any one of these guys as the other wideout. (Curtis, Avant, Lesean Mccoy spread wide, or Reggie Brown). Put 36 West in motion and watch in awe. Fake handoff to Vick or let em go with it?!?!?!?!?!? Spags sure picked a good year to get out of the East.

Oh, and the Don haters will rue the day when he moves his tack elsewhere. I brush these crumbcakes off every day of my life, EVERY day. Now a days, its laughable at some of these people's alternative routes.

I don't see how one could think this is a bad move by the Eagles. $1.6 mil for a star player? Come on now.

Disappointed? No comment from me. This signing speaks for itself.

Oh, and the Cowboys still have FIVE more Super Bowl victories than your beloved Beagles. Guess I should retire Beagles label in light of Vick's addition to team... NOT!

30 minutes of replying and THAT is what you throw out?!? Almost as pathetic as the 44-6 drubbing in week 17 with the SEASON ON THE LINE!!! bahahahah

Keep on pumping that stale a$$ line out when your girls are on the bottom looking up this year. Whatever keeps you from trying that spider roll move on your pets that Coach posted some time ago.

ps. It's COMICAL that a DAL fan is speechless when another team signs a guy in trouble with the law. Unchartered territory for you guys, huh? Refrain from being Nate Newton's drug mule, would ya?

You don't see how adding a player like him makes the team better? He's led a team to the NFC championship game before. He's the best running quarterback in the history of the game. I could see if they were bringing him in to take over for McNabb but they aren't. If Vick is only 50% of what he was before, how many backup quarterbacks in the league are better than him? You may use round numbers to answer that.

You have an excellent history, but as long as you have your current head coach, you have no future.

The addition of Vick is a very good thing.

I was stunned that teams were actually worried about the negative impact of signing him. Who gives a crap if PETA is protesting outside your stadium? Corral those losers over to a remote corner of your property and let them scream. Who cares if your local rag has a "columnist" or op/ed complaining of the signing of the devil? Are they afraid of losing season tickets? I would think that number would be in the low hundreds.

The NFL is a business, you win, you make money. Negative publicity about a players past will blow over in a very short period of time.

There is zero downside in signing this guy, esp. at the price the Eagles got him for.

the only thing that sets him apart are his legs. he's only about 50% passer. most back ups are that good. he had a VERY poor reputation for film study before he did jail time. why should that be be any better. i give him 2years at best and he'll be in trouble again......... for something.

This is a non-issue, I've been on their waiting list for 8 years now.

I'm just sort of sad the Eagles don't travel to Cleveland this year, I was hoping whoever he landed with would go visit the dog pound.

as a pure football standpoint it was not a bad move for the eagles. I just think the man is a scumbag piece of ****.. electrocute, hang, beat dogs to death? Thats what serial killers do when they are kids...

I'm sure I'll accept him as an Eagle if he does a good job.. I'll never except him as a person though.

I think Michael Vick is a very talented player and I have no problem with coming back to the league. My thinking is more about the kind of abuse/treatment that Donovan takes from the fans/media in Philadelphia. I personally think the guy is a warrior and I have seen him kill the Giants many many times. Personally I hope that they take the ball out of Mcnabb's hands and even take him off the field a couple of times a game. I'll take my chance with Michael Vick. But we have all seen McNabb go into those slumps now and then and the Eagle nation call for the likes of A.J. Feeley and Kevin Kolb. Now you will have Michael Vick in the bullpen and you would think that every crappy pass/interception that Donovan throws people would be looking for a pitching change. Maybe it will turn out to be a good move. But I think ithas the potential to do more damage by undermining their franchise QB is has been a warrior his whole career.

as inconsistant of a passer that Donovan is... Vick is like 10 times more inconsistent.

Getting Vick makes me McNabb now.

Apparently, Mcnabb and Vick are very close friends and Mcnabb completely endorsed the move. Remember also...Mcnabb just got paid so he was finally given his love.

This is a home run for the eagles. You have a back up quarterback that could start for a number of teams in the league. Not only that, unlike most backups, he won't just hold a clipboard. You can actually devise ways to use him in specialty situations and not just the wildcat. Remember the way the steelers used kordell? Vick throws and runs better than kordell and I remember slash being highly effective.

For 1.6 million and an option at 5.2 million? There will be a number of teams that will be sorry they didnt take the chance.
