Default There was another young woman

that made history yesterday besides Racheal, that was Melanie Oudin who, at 17 years old, came back a set down to beat Maria Sharapova.

I'm not sure which victory was more exciting, but both were spine tingleing. Yesterday was a great day for sports.

Roddick loses early in the draw as well...blames it on the other guy being
6'-9". Priceless.

She won again! What a story. Along with the comeback of Kim Clijsters, this is shaping up to be a great tournament.

Djokovich looked really good last night. Hes tough to beat when hes on. And he owns a pretty nice head to head record against the champ.

I really havent cared for women's tennis since the domination of the Williams sisters. Not a big fan of either of them. I like Kim Clijsters though, she seems like a really neat woman. Hope she wins this.

Men's tennis is great. The talent at the top is insane with Fed, Nadal, Djokovich, Murray and this guy Del Potro can really play too.

PS- Andy Murray is currently losing 2 sets to love in his match

Murray beat soundly in straight sets. Pretty evident that he just gave up after the first 2.

There should be an inquiry on that match.

Not really. Murray isnt a come from behind kind of guy. He is now 3-13 in major matches when losing the 1st set. Hes never come close to coming from behind 2 sets to love, so it was pretty predictable. Kind of like Tiger, give the guy the lead and hes almost impossible to beat. Get to him early and hes cinnamon toast with a side of fancy butter.

Setting up to be a great semi of Federer and Djokovich.
The other semi should be Del Potro and Nadal.

Lets hope we see another Federe Nadal final, but I wouldnt be shocked if Del Potro not only beats Nadal, but also upends whomever he faces in the final.

I don't think a ginger like Murray is going to win a slam. He's over-hyped.

I dont buy that. I would guess that most players records arent great after losing the first set and really bad after losing 2 sets. He looked suspiciously bad like he either stiffed because the Russian mob has his family held hostage in an undisclosed location and they bet heavily against him, he is hurt and wont say or is just an English puss y.

Agree its pretty damn hard to come back from 2 sets down..but to be ranked as high as him and to be 3-13 after losing just the 1st set? Thats an awful record. Federer and Nadal have often gone down in the first set and I imagine both have above far better than .500 records when they do lose the first set. Murray is really talented but like you guys allude too, doesnt have the mental toughness needed to win 6 staright matches, often on less than 1 day's rest. Federer and Nadal both tough as nails.

Federer and Nadal against the field.

I'm relieved that Blake was finished early. Between the compliments for his opponent during the match and his crew of yuppie douches' chants between points it's enough to make me root for foreigners.
