a freak on the basis of what?

A couple of visually impressive but soft trip wins over moderate competition?

Why is it that on message boards, the horse that was best only wins about 10% of the time? The winner was best.

The winner was not best, but you can tell yourself that.

Of course not. If winners were ever best, there wouldn't be anything for all of us that bet losers to ever complain about. As I said, on message boards, the best horse only wins about 10% of the time.

I was knocked out of the pick 4 leg 1, only bet Keeneland after, NO ACTION AT ALL.... I say Aspire was the best, maybe someone else will offer an opinion.

In a lot of cases .. it's the narrow, life and death winner, who's light years best ... like RA in the Preakness or Woodward.

And in other cases - it's horses getting beat 20 and 35 like MP and Flashing who were way better than the result because of the way the race unfolded.

In other cases - horses like SB wears down QR at 10fs but isn't really better overall because QR is a miler.

I don't think knowing how to analyze a race has anything to do with who people bet.

I think I was right about Giralomo..... Hes a stud, he broke slow and still did that, Kensei is accomplished and this was REALLY STRONG IMO. He just blew him away. I know the track is playing fast but Kensei had the better trip and had nothing for Giralomo and the time was strong as well.
