Yes ... nothing says memorable quite like a Classic where the favorite is a Euro turf import for a trainer who is 3 for his last 65 in North America. The 2nd choice has modest margin slow fig wins over Briecat, Anabaa's Creation, and Lethal heat in her last 3 races. And the 3rd choice has never run on anything but dirt... goes 1st synthetic. |

![]() I took a lot of notes last year after the Santa Anita B.C., with this year's races in mind. Not that one weekend of racing constitutes any kind of trend, but I have to stick to what I suggested for myself to do this year:
U.S. horses are very plausible in the sprints and Juveniles; front runners fared poorly on the Pro Ride(and the turf); Euro's on turf, U.S horse for course types underneath in exotics. I agree with DruGs about the overlooked, "2nd tier" Euro's, I think that might have to be the profitable angle, as everyone will jump all over the Euro's this year(hence the alternate wagering stance of betting against them all this year and hoping things even out) I'm pretty much left with Twice Over in the Classic |

![]() I see alot of Father Time chatter, which cools me abit on him if he gets bet down, I thought he was getting a Jockey upgrade from Spencer to whomever but only vaguely hearing of Queally, a quick check of his stats in Europe, let's say they don't exactly jump off the page.

Watch Zenyatta go off the favorite. First time in the history of the Classic the favorite will have come into the race off of back to back Beyers in the 90's. |

![]() I was as well.
I'd have liked him a lot more if Sea The Stars ran and things went swimmingly for Rip Van Winkle leading in. |

This year she's looked like she can barely stand up on firm turf as she was drilled in the Gallorette (granted it was her first start of the year) then the Modesty was a pretty terrible effort as well. She's interesting purely from the pace perspective but I guess that's why I'm taking more of a liking to Visit, who probably won't be far off the pace and will be ridden by a jockey who specializes in the 'watchdog' role. From what I've seen in Midday's replays and her PPs she probably won't let them get far away. NT |

Steve, is Gladitorius officially trained by bin Shafya now? It was bin Suroor after Dubai!
