I would. I just did. Didn't I? I would think that most non-religious politicians would prefer to call themselves Agnostic......Why would I vote for an Atheist? Because it's a slight positive. I'd prefer a Liberal (or Moderate) Catholic. I wouldn't vote for a Mormon, or a Muslim (both con-artist creations.) I wouldn't vote for anyone that interprets the Bible literally.

lol
why not? i worked with a lady who said she'd have nothing to do with someone if they became a mormon. i told her that every religion had some suspension of disbelief, and that mormons were no better or worse in that regard.

and regarding your last sentence, i guess huckabee wouldn't get your vote?? lol he most certainly would not get mine, and he didn't when he ran for governor.

Huck is a decent person (with talent,) but I couldn't vote for him.

Combine Christianity with Angel Dust, and you might come up with something this crazy(Mormonism.) I have a cousin who converted to this. We don't talk about religion. I don't avoid her, but I wouldn't vote for a Mormon. "The President of the Church is the highest ecclesiastical authority on the Earth and is often referred to as "the Prophet." Would you want Tammy n' Jim Baker's ideas to be sacred text? No, I am not voting for fools that believe such sht. We already have way too many damn prophets. We have our hands full trying to control the followers of the Pedophile called Mo. Here are some of his followers sacrificing animals in the name of their gutter religion. These savages will be repeating this again this year (end of November-start of December.) Gunna off Sheep, Camels, Cows etc. in front of the whole family. That's the way Muslims see family values. I thought Camels had a higher level than cows n' sheep, but evidently not. It's not pretty. These aren't pretty videos. This is Islam. The Islam that the left still seems oblivious about. ISLAM IS NOT PRETTY. It's part of a 3 day Holiday called Eid al-Adha. So festive, huh? The leader of each family is expected to off something in front of the kids. Listen to the crowd. Lot of kids going "ooo." No, I won't ever vote for someone who admits to being a member of this sick religion.

I'd vote for an atheist that would publicly declare you to be an idiot.

With that, I'll be announcing my run for the 2012 presidency next year some time.

Wait, so the Mormon and Muslim faiths are con-artist creations, but the rest of Christianity isn't? Or Judaism?

You really think Abraham wasn't a con man? Or Moses, one of the great hucksters of all time?

And while we are at it, if Judaism is pretty much full of ****, wouldn't that make anything that follows in it's footsteps pretty stinky too?

This message was brought to you by Jews for a revival of mass lobotomies.

You mean, kinda like those Christian Crusaders who on their way to 'liberate' Jerusalem cannibalized an entire town of Muslims except for the one they let get away in order to spread the news of the terror to Jerusalem?

I think Alton Brown should do a Good Eats episode on how to properly prepare and eat a Muslim.

I am beating Danzig's all time consecutive post record here.

Wouldn't it be cool to do that Muslim Good Eats episode. He can do his little spiel about Islam and then "Muslims, they're not just good for blaming everything on, they're...."

Cue the music....

"GOOD EATS!"

nuff said.

Those are the 2 that are certain to be con artist creations. One was started by a butcher/pedophile. The other keeps writing sacred text as they go. The others you mentioned are based mainly on old men in the desert who say they were "touched" by the spirit. People who take that stuff literally are out of their mind. The religion that would actually help the world is one based solely on Christ's teachings. The one closest to that is Liberal Catholicism etc. People are usually into a certain religion because it's against what they're against (to start with.) What you're saying is there are people with machettes, but others also have plastic knives. O.K...LOL..I'm still like a thousand more times concerned about the machette people. It's no wonder these Muslims can be so bloody. They grow up watching their pa slice animal necks open each December. What did you do 20 years or so ago? Take the air out of my tires? O.K...What were you then? A barely-practicing Jew? No telling what a practicing Muslim would of done if I had upset him. Cut the car into 2 pieces? Cut me into 5 pieces? It would have been worse. A so called "Moderate Muslim"(whatever da fk that is) would of at least sliced all 4 tires. Knifework would have been involved.

Dude, the Muslims learned from the best butchers evah.

I absolutely guarantee that the followers of Jesus have slaughtered far more people than the followers of 'Mo'.

Again, you try to make an excuse for the present. What is the matter with you people. They're gunna have a knife to your throat, and you're still gunna be doing this p.c. crap. Get real. 20-25% of the fkn world wants to cut on you right now, and you keep saying they ain't very bad. You gunna wait until they send a human wave into Israel? You still gunna blame someone else for that? You gunna blame Christians for frying people in the top of those trade centers? Those were Muslims, and they'd love to do that again, too (would if they could.) This why so many Jews got caught in Germany even after Hitler had said what he did in the early 30's? Damn. Wake up.

As a Jew, or at least a former one, I assure you again that I've never experienced a bit of a problem with any Muslim I've ever met. I even am sorta friends with a Saudi Prince that hangs out with my friend and his brother. He's camped in my backyard, I've gone hiking with him, and not a single problem.

I do, however, still get reminded of my religion from Christians, a lot more frequently than you'd think.

I knew Muslims in high school, college, in my neighborhood back in WC, and I never got a single look of disdain, not a single remark, nothing!

Every single iota of bigotry I've ever experienced or witnessed? You got it, the followers of Jesus (or is that Horus, I get them confused?).

Not that every Christian is bad, but man, you really gotta cut back on the propaganda as your worldview.

If an atheist ever ran for president (and had an actual chance) I would not only probably vote for that candidate, I would also be tempted to quit my job and go volunteer for that candidate full time.

Of course, an atheist isn't going to be getting a major party nomination any time soon, because voters in this country require their presidents to believe that some guy who lived 2000 years ago had magic powers.

i wish there was one to vote for. no politician is going to sell atheist thought, its "unamerican". i'm not an athiest but just looking around "religion" in general, does not have much to do with God. settlements, suicide bombers, drone bombers and invasions....i'd say they are all doing "Gods work"......lol. God is geat, religion is something men made up in order to kill each other. its the biggest oxymoron ever created by man.....RELIGION, THE REASON WE ALL KILL EACH OTHER...I LAUGH AT THE STUPIDITY BUT GOD IS PROBABLY CRYING OVER IT.
