Default Clasico del Caribe online now

It appears to be getting online coverage on ustream here: http://bit.ly/7liXfp

I say this having followed a link from Twitter and though I don't speak Spanish I believe they've been saying "Clasico del Caribe!" loudly from time to time. I know it's an international race but I figured it was ok to post here for a sec, given that the start of the race seemed to be impending (it's been 0 MTP for awhile).

ETA: Bambera won. I got the impression that was the favorite but don't hold me to that.
PPS. Ok found out more about her. She's supposedly a Venezuelan superfilly who's of Rachel Alexandra-esque reputation amongst the locals. She's coming to the US in 2010. Should be fun.

18 stars, 16 wins and a second.

The sire is interesting. Water Poet. Darley owned him. He's a Sadlers Wells 1/2 to Swain.

Bambera is Venezuela's best filly since Trincarol. Remember her? At one time she was the top earning female in America She left Venezuela and came to the states and was a dud but since she ran here her earnings were allowed. They both won Ven's premier race...the Clasico Bolivar

Bambera's damsire is Le Voyageur. Remember him? Son of Slew that ran third in the Belmont behind EG and SS

Trincarol? Is that the right spelling? I can't find it anywhere.

I'd love to edit the title of the thread seeing as it's not online right now obviously but it won't lemme edit that post. Oh well.
