The M/L on today's 1st was a joke. There was no way in hell Esther Got Even was going off at more than 3-5 and the guy made her 2-1 in the M/L. She won and paid $2.40. Ultimately it doesn't make much of a difference but it'd be nice to have a guy with some idea of how people will bet. Eric Donovan at NYRA is the best I've seen.

There's no basis...You would think there would be some competency at a high profile track.

You might as well look at the graded entries that DRF puts out at the same time they put up the PP's.
I like to look at them when I need a good laugh.
They will have a horse that figures to be no worse than 2nd or 3rd choice as 20-1 or 30-1 sometimes.
I think they do it for kicks?

Gulfstream has set new levels of incompetency. Why should putting out a good morning line be expected from this place? They screw up just about everything else. After 3 years, they still can't get the fractional times of their races correct. I used to look forward to the Gulfstream meeting, but Magna has ruined it to the point that I barely pay it any attention. I hope Hialeah Park can somehow displace them in 2011, 2012 or beyond. Tampa Bay Downs is the Florida place to be these days.

I saw a 19.1 1st quarter last week. That's Talladega fast.
