Default Monday Night Football

Very happy for the people of New Orleans for getting back a team they have supported through mostly bad times.
I'm not real optimistic about their chances tonight(their defense is gonna have fits with Vick) but I'm real glad for the folks down there.

Yes its a great thing. This city has been through hell and back and they love their football. Kudos to the great city of New Orleans and the NFL for helping the cause as much as they did. I'm not a huge fan but the league is tops.
As for the game I have no clue!

If they can stop that play where Vick fakes a pass and then goes to his right running the ball they stand a good chance. Anyone ever been to the Superdome? I was there back in like 1989 or something, no game just in town with family. Man that place is huge.

I've driven past it. It's...big. Inhuman scale. Looks like a gigantic insect larvae laid out next to the 10. I love New Orleans and hate that this stadium will rep the town tonight.

Hopefully they show the real New Orleans (Tippitina's, any place that isn't in the French Quarter, and dare I say...Fairgrounds.)

I give N.O. no chance this game. Cleveland and Green Bay were patsies for the 2-0 team home opener. Atlanta's D is, to me, remarkably underrated.
They were good last year and improved over the offseason with some free agents.

Atlanta will roll over this team.

Im gonna take a contrary point of view. I dont like a bunch of rich guys, Spike Lee, Joe T (not in the same $ league as Spike), tell me about the suffering of people that are poor. Makes me sick like they are some type of modern day philosopher kings teaching us the message.

True philosopher kings lived humbly and were purposely poor so they could live the life of the people they tried to create social and moral values to live by. Its really hard to listen to people who live a life of luxury talk about suffering. I dont care where THEy HAVE been. Where is the damn priest who is workin butt off everyday living in the same squalor these folks live in everyday...? They are not on in the booth because we would not be interested in them. And have we really dropped low enough to have to have a sporting event to teach us about human tragedy? This whole thing sucks to be me. I love the football... but when Spike gets back in his limo for the airport drinking champagne, New Orleans is a passing thought.

I wouldn't get to worked up about it PG. Anything that isn't a flyover is okay by me.

They're there. They spent some money. That's what the town needs.

Meanwhile I look like an idiot. Where the hell is Atlanta's D? The Saints are not this good.

Just trying to stir the pot my good friend. You know the sport as a lesson in life kinda thing goes too far sometimes.
I have a friend right now would like to spoil everything and say "oh yes this is great, I am sure the man in Dafur Sudan would love this game and all the hell New Orleans went thru as his wife is raped and killed in front of him. Party on New Orleans." Kinda of a party pooper role. I thought I would play the role of the pooper.

If you had read my post in the nfl picks folder, I said the Saints were my best play of the week, and to play them on the money line also.

The Falcoons don't play well for long. They have to collapse every 3-4 weeks.
Vick is a loser. I would rather have Drew Brees or Reggie Bush.

Picking that home MNF dog last night was about as easy as it gets, and YES----I SAID ALL OF THIS BEFORE LAST NIGHT!!

+3 and +170 opening line
+3.5 and +185 mid-week
+4 and +197 at game time

Now--this doesn't mean that I won't stink it up this week.

Good luck to everyone!

Were any of the "experts" right about this game. Salisbury was about as wrong as you can be about a game.

Football games are a coin toss. 50/50 shot. There are no experts. Your better off guessing like red-black in roullete.

Completely disagree, public makes the line Tim and there are people that are smarter then the public, people that know how to watch football games and analyze teams and speed. The reason people don't make money on it is because of patience(too many games) and greed(parlays). You pick your spots and you can own sports betting

It isn't that I don't know that, I choose to not listen to myself...If I ever get patiences, in all aspects of life, I would be a richer man, and not just financially speaking
