The big cap win was a mirage. This guy has been touted as being one of the next great ones since 2006. He's not. To risk losing Rosario for him is stupid.

My point stands.
I couldn't agree more about him being bad. I remember arguing about him with someone else who thought he was the good.

Tyler Kaplan could ride some of these steam jobs that Baffert is putting him on. He is obviously working his ass off in the mornings for Baffert so he is getting rewarded, which is a good thing, but there is about 7 other riders I would trust over him out there.....

Woman are the f'n rake man

Wayne Catalano and the Calabrese racing team has extended an hand out to Michael for the Arlington Park meet.

This is so great. At least I know I will only be haunted for the first couple weeks until he gets benched and ET Baird is called back in.

Michael Baze is gonna win a ton of races out there. What's he up against? Tim Thorton....Razo....Wade...Riggs........Uriel Lopez ? With Catalano backing him he will crush that laughable colony.

Why do some trainers whine as much as they do about "getting spun" ?

The jockey is one of the most meaningless factors in all of racing ... is it such a great loss that a rider - or his agent - who would rather ride another horse in the race is not on your horse?

Here is the thing though, the hatred between Calabrese and Catalano is still there, he isn't going to be riding for both of them, one because they are in alot of races together and two, Calabrese won't ride someone that he is riding usually.

There is no doubt he is gonna be getting on some Cadilliac's. Hell, Catalano was getting Brandon Meier to win races for christ sake, he is usually done riding by the 1/4 pole because he hasn't eaten in three days.

There is also no doubt that this colony is less to be desired. I think Wade is hurt again by the way.

Add to the fact an effeminate ogre is the one doing it.

threw earlie fires some huge bones at the end of his carreer as well. IMO Baze will be a middle of the road jock, by no means do i see him dominating ANY meet

How do you watch as many races as you do and still find the NUTS to (repeatedly) post this stuff? Especially since your 'home track' is PID.

Statistics are MEANINGFUL.
Speed Figures are MEANINGFUL

A premature move is MEANINGLESS.

PID is my 'home track' only in so much as it's 2 miles away and all my selections go in the newspaper.

For two straight years my top selection has yielded a flat bet profit at the end of each meet.

But hey, that's just 1,600 races... Joel Rosario, who you knock bigtime as a jockey, has yielded a flat bet profit for a riding career of over 4k races.

Don't get me wrong .. I'll downgrade the chances of a horse if I think the new rider is hopelessly incompetent... or if the rider switch is one I deem negative.

Just because I quote a lot of riders stats doesn't mean it's much of a factor in my handicapping. A lot of times - the reputation of the rider gets baked into the odds. Yeah, Dominguez is great ... but if you get him you're going to see a bit of a hit in price. Yeah, Jackie Davis stinks ... but hey, you're going to get the best of it price wise with someone like that. If the horse runs well enough .. it won't matter.

Sometimes everything unfolds right and bad riders land perfect trips. Sometimes things go wrong and good riders find bad trips.

I just think that when given half decent mounts, Baze is one of the better jocks out at SA. The guy did win a few meets out there yrs ago. Now he is goin to a colony that is very weak.

For Baze's sake hopefully Catalano chooses him...will be better off. I would guess some of the better horsemen will be off to NJ this summer making Catalano that much stronger out there. If a guy like Brandon M. can win races out there....anyone with 2 arms, 2 legs, and a head can win.

I didn't realize that Calabrese and Catalano STILL hate eachother. Figured they would have moved past it. Frank Calabrese is a strange guy. Heard some strange stories about that dude when I lived out there.

Your top picks are typically CHALK, from what I've seen you write on the topic. Moreover, I just completed a year's worth of plays, close to 2,000 plays, with a POSITIVE ROI. (And my only 'tool' is that simpleton Fat Chart-- imagine if the charts were actually accurate?)
It's NOT statistics or any other of the common tools. So, let's get that out of the way and not feel the need to mention it again.

I could care less what Rosario's flat bet results are. I have an idea what he can and can't do from watching him. He's NOT a top jock. If I depended on results, then I'd be keying on Jacquie Davis, who certainly has a HIGHER return over the past 200 races than Rosario. These stats are USELESS to me.

Yep.

More people around here ought to strive to not be such crass buffoons in polite society.

I giggle just thinking about how women need only get fit and look pretty and they're almost a certainty to be wildly overpromoted at almost anything .. well except at the few things where you actually suffer big and can't get by with a bimbo.

I'm sure the St. Louis Rams would love to draft some amusing little bimbo to play defensive tackle with the first pick ... but the sad reality is that Sarah Palin can't stop the run - or even bullrush the QB - like a Ndamukong Suh can.

But the vast majority of the time - I'm picking short prices on top.
