Is there anyone who does not think they are both pretty special??.... as to who is better....until they actually face each other on dirt it's all just conjecture 'n bullshit proclaiming who's the better one.

And let's not forget that in this race she beat the winner of the previous year's BC Distaff (on dirt) in Ginger Punch.

Which is great. I have no doubt that she will put in a decent run at Oaklawn. Certainly horses shipping in from California have taken to the Oaklawn dirt recently. However, I still want to see her prove it on dirt against a quality horse like Rachel. I still think that if Rachel is a 100% fit she will be the better of the two.

However, I am not ready to crown either one until they hit the finish line in the Apple Blossem. Frankly, I hope that they are both fit and ready on 4/9 and answer the question that everyone has on the racetrack.

They are both great, amazing horses, but Z is better.

sadly, there are some who think one or the other isn't special, when in fact both are.

i didn't see either race. i'll have to go to twinspires to see the replays. we didn't get home in time from quiz bowl regionals (our team won, yay! my son was mvp-a bit of bragging is warranted i think!)....anyway, i hope they're both as close to 100% in a few weeks time as possible, and that they are still able to have the race.

an opinion, but certainly not a fact as for the moment you can't prove it. you can give reasons til the cows come home for having that opinion....but that doesn't mean you proved it.

Hey genious, she is a 5 yo Mare. She's not gonna improve anymore. Unless switched to Wolfson of course.

One of them beat a field of pigs but did it stylishly after some trouble.

The other one was way short.

in this game you make money when your opinion is correct and you lose when it is not.... I seem to recall your opinion being wrong at least as much as anyone elses

I wonder if Shirreffs/Zetcher would run Zardana against Zenyatta in the Apple Blossom. Jerry Moss seemed okay with it in the interview after Zenyatta's win. But if RA does not go in the Apple Blossom, the purse will drop dramatically.

actually, i think she's six now.

honestly tho--if i were the mosses, i wouldn't travel. keep her home and get the win streak record. not saying she'd lose travelling....but why mess with something when it's not broken? she hasn't shipped out of cali in a year, shipped and raced in two....
i have to wonder now how it's going to unfold. if jackson backs out, citing lack of readiness, zenyatta won't come anyway because the big purse goes away.

i see zardana staying and running in ark, and zenyatta staying in cali if rachel doesn't show.

Zeny had an easier group than did Rachel. Even though she won once she found some room. Zeny was running against a weaker group today for sure. Rachel on the other hand ran into a buzz saw today that horse can flat out fly.

He's gearing up to put $1,000 to win on Z in the Apple Blossem and if she wins he will no doubt bust out his pom poms and tell us he is the best handicapper in the world!

that poor quiz bowl sponsor has had one zeigler or another (and one year, kelly and eric at the same time) for eight years now. i asked her if she was ready to be zeigler-free?

we're heading to the state comp in a few weeks (april 10-wonder what races i'll miss?) and then he made the all-star competition.....

so glad he's graduating in a few months!

btw, didn't win a dime.

Although I'm sure they are a little dissapointed, I can imagine Jackson/Assmusan are too terribly upset in losing a prep race.

How is this different from making sure to always check a certain someone's NYRA picks before putting down YOUR money? At least he basically has his OWN opinion.

Enjoy the day's events.
