Default Hypothetical Pick-3

It is been awhile since we've had hypo races, so I thought I'd throw a few together because certain other discussions in the Horse Racing universe have grown a bit....umm....tiresome. The criteria I used for the fields was just horses born in 1975 or later. Also, I am not claiming that the nine horses I included in each field are the BEST possible choices. In fact, in a couple of cases I put in horses that I don't personally believe to be among the top-9, simply because I thought their inclusion might make for a more entertaining discusion.
So.....how would you guys play these races? If you had to play a Pick-3 here, what would the ticket look like? etc.

Belmont Park - Fast track - (assume all horses are in good form, have their regular jock, etc.)

Race-1: 8f - Dirt

1) Commentator
2) Congaree
3) Criminal Type
4) Discreet Cat
5) Ghostzapper
6) Gulch
7) Holy Bull
8) Rubiano
9) Spectacular Bid

Race-2: 12f - Dirt

1) Affirmed
2) A.P Indy
3) Creme Fraiche
4) Easy Goer
5) John Henry
6) Point Given
7) Risen Star
8) Slew o Gold
9) Temperence Hill

Race-3: 6f - Dirt

1) Benny the Bull
2) Fabulous Strike
3) Housebuster
4) Kona Gold
5) Lost in the Fog
6) Midnight Lute
7) Orientate
8) Speightstown
9) Xtra Heat

Interesting that you guys both went with Speightstown and Midnight Lute in the Sprint.

Personally I'd lean more toward Kona Gold and Housebuster.

But at 6f perhaps Housebuster would be overbet.

I actually think I would probably include Discreet Cat in the mile.

That race is loaded, but while Spectacular Bid, Ghostzapper, and Holy Bull might all be more likely than Discreet Cat, he was fast as hell when on his game.

I was going to add Xtra Heat and then I thought I didn't give Kona enough credit. I always seem to confuse Housbuster with Houston.

1-2-5-9/1-4/1-6-8

For a realistic amount think this would give me a chance. Assuming a fair track going with the better closers in the last leg

Midnight Lute might be the best sprinter EVER.
I totally agree about Speightstown though, I might have jumped the gun.

He was on his game like 3 times..... If Candy Ride was in either of the first 3 races I would use him.
