?? Nobody is really talking any viewpoints (opinions). Trying to talk the news. When you look at complaints and moderation from various watchdog groups, Faux News leads the list for lying.
Really?.....what groups?

Oh, you know, Timmi, those rampantly liberal biased Muslim leftist communist lamestream media people: Media Matters, Citz for Public Interest, FAIR, TPM, etc.

Jon Stewart had a hilarious ComedyCentral episode this past week - he discusses TV coverage of the mosque, then follows a Faux News episode, and doing the same thing Faux did he links Rupert Murdoch through a Saudi Prince (second largest shareholder of News Corp) to Faux News being a domestic terrorist org. It's pretty funny www.thedailyshow.com

I'm sure that's going to kill their business. You should short those two stocks.

You don't want nothing but bad Facebook press during such stagnant times. http://www.ontopmag.com/article.aspx...=1&Category=26

The internet can cause millions of dollars in damage and everlasting bad PR, and it doesn't much matter if something is true or false (for false, see Proctor & Gamble having to spend a couple million to "prove" Febreze Kills Dogs was a false internet rumour, from a few years back)

Shareholders Demand Changes As Target Boycott Rolls On
Published: August 21, 2010
http://www.ontopmag.com/article.aspx...=1&Category=26

Institutional shareholders are demanding Target overhaul its campaign donation policies as a boycott over an anti-gay donation gains steam, the Los Angeles Times reported.

On Thursday, three management firms announced they have sponsored a resolution demanding the retail giant rethink its donation policies to avoid future potential political hot button issues.

The action comes just days after the progressive group MoveOn.org launched a new ad urging shoppers to boycott the retail giant for contributing $150,000 to MN Forward, an independent political fund supporting Tom Emmer, the anti-gay Republican nominee for Minnesota governor. The Minnesota-based business apologized for the donation but rejected a request from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation's largest gay rights advocate, to give an equal amount of money to a pro-gay candidate.

Tim Smith, a senior vice president at Walden Asset Management, which is sponsoring the resolution along with Calvert Asset Management and Trillium Asset Management, cautioned that “imprudent donations can potentially have a major negative impact on company reputations and businesses if they don't carefully and fully assess a candidate's positions.”

While together the firms hold $57.5 million of Target stock, it's only a small fraction of the company's outstanding shares. However, other institutional shareholders are considering signing on to the resolution.

That is so clever how she calls it "Faux News". She's really sticking it to them when she says that.

ZIG, they have their lies n' mistakes covered on the other networks. Riot's correct about this. It's an unprofessional network. If you only counted Gretchen Carlson's mistakes, then it'd still be one of the most unprofessional sources of news ever. It's a joke. They're not fair n' balanced. People dismiss that lie so quickly, and say other networks aren't balanced. O.K., FINE, BUT WHY DO THEY KEEP REPEATING THIS LIE ON THERE? Rupert, there is no way any other network could be as unbalanced as Fox is. Even MSNBC has 3.5 hours of Scarborough n' friends' mainly Conservative talk every week day morning. That's hardly a Liberal's Morning Danish.

I don't think a guy like Sean Hannity claims to be "fair and balanced". But if you watch their actual news (like with Shepherd Smith), I think it is very good. I'd rather watch that than the politically correct nonsense on the networks. As much as you hate political correctness, I would think you would like Fox's news.

Having "viewed it" is far different from, "so you watch Fox News".

I used to listen to Limbaugh, too, before he, like Faux News, went off the rail of rationality.

i don't even know who gretchen carlson is. but yeah, i remember reading from another news source about fox making up news. that's just crazy-why would they be surprised if some don't watch or take them seriously? but i also remember (was it cbs?) a made up investigation into truck gas tanks back years ago. each news source should have an office that keeps them straight, and calls out anyone who crosses a line-hell, espn has one!

Oh christ is you being unable to see the difference between watching a station on a daily regular basis, and being familiar with it. Seriously, Zig?

There are multiple independent news watching organizations that do this. That is what this thread is about. Stations that do it on a daily basis, versus those that screw up occasionally. Guess which category Faux fits into?
