Nice turnout on a beautiful day at Belmont, but obviously a frustrating outcome as nothing went right. Filly generally OK post-race but was stepped on pretty badly on both sides and is cut up. Likely needs at least partial blinks next time. Not what we were hoping for, but no one was beating the winner today. Lots to look forward to yet!

Steve, thanks for once again being a gracious host. The opportunity to have a horse running in a stakes race at Belmont Park was an incredible experience and what is starting to be a natural progression in the Dee Tee partnership. To those that shared the experience, it was a great day regardless of the result and it was great seeing all. To boot, we got to see the race in the best seats in the house.

I hope Ausable comes out great and I am confident she will prove that she belongs at this level. Thanks to Gary, Chuck and the crew and I look forward to our next start!

Sore and bruised up but ate everything and appears fine.

Watched the race from The Jockey Club in Ventura, CA (really nice facility).

Broke my heart to see the result.

We put $20 across the board on Gold D'Oro in the 3rd race. Won $164 for that effort.

Bet the same on our girl, but still had enough money left over for dinner.

Losing the money wasn't what hurt. Hearing our girl got hurt hurt us much more.

Heal quickly, Zinger. We'll get 'em next time.

I'll talk to Gary today, but I'd say it's doubtful.

May have to revise this statement.. Spent a good deal of the morning at the barn this morning, and Ausable Chasm looks great and is doing very well. Because of the weather this week, it's been mostly walking for the horses the last few days, but the filly galloped strongly this a.m. and Gary believes she will need to work this week given how eager she appears to do more on track. She has also been aggressive in the stall and is clearly feeling good...

So while I don't know about the stake, it appears she could be ready to run in something in about 20-25 days.
