Not to rile any feathers, or start anything... But I truly believe she is much better then Blame. Blame loves this track, thats crystal clear. She ran her heart out.

She lost. Her owners don't have the mental fortitude to deal with defeat and we'll never know how good she could be because they are festering dog turds.

A tip of the hat to Queen Zenyatta. She beat a lot of good horses who were supposed to have beaten her. She lost by a little more than a nose to a horse that's had 4 trips over that track.

I wasn't a goo goo fan up until she ran the BC Classic. It took a loss to finally fully appreciate her greatness, I was one who kept saying she has everything to prove. Well she did.

Am I missing something? Wasn't she 4/5?

Yep. The idea that Blame had some unfair tactical advantage is ludicrous. If her connections hadn't been so busy talking about her f'ing dance moves all year, maybe they could've put some more speed into her. But let's be serious, then she would've been beaten much more than a head.

She wasn't better. She lost. But she is one hell of a racehorse who I wish would not retire. She's great for a game and has earned every bit of my respect. It was fun to watch!

Is it fair to say that she ran better than most of her detractors thought she would??.... I sure thought she was going to get beat by more than a head.... but found myself hoping for her to "get there" as they came to the wire.

Great point! I was the same way! I gave her very little chance, but when she came flying, I was rooting for her. A year ago I had very little respect for her. She has made me a believer.

I was referring to a lot of people on this forum and a great many handicappers who were picking horses other than Zenyatta - QR, LAL, and Haynesfield. She beat them all. And, I disagree with you that Blame didn't have an advantage. He was racing for the 5th time over CD which he obviously loved as he's now won 4 of those 5 races.

I've never been a die hard Zenyatta fan. I can't even call myself a fan other to admire what she has done and be angry that her connections didn't allow her to do more. But, they showed a bit of courage sending her to KY for this race. They obviously covet HOY and were willing to go for it.

This needn't be an exchange of insults amongst one another. She lost, and I'm not denying that, but she did nothing to embarrass herself. Dump on her owners and trainer if you will. I don't think Mike Smith did anything wrong, but I'm sure that's subject to a lot of debate.

If you care to argue with my opinion any further, you'll be talking to the air because I've said all I'm going to say about her performance today.

She did more for her reputation and legacy today in losing by a nose than in 18 of her 19 wins.

Once again, it's not the horses fault, it's the owners.
