Default Breeders Cup Betting Challenge

Does anyone have any info on how the contest went?
I know they Michelle Yu in the Gold room reporting every so often.

I think Paul was playing.
Maybe he can provide some details.

It was a great contest and one I will definately play in again next year. The winner of the contest finished with about $33,000. He had $7,300 left going into the last race and bet it all to win on Blame in the Classic. When you add in the prize money (the winner's share was $138,000) he managed to turn the 5-1 on Blame into 27-1 after the contest.

A good friend of mine finished in third. He got there by nailing a $100 cold trifecta on the Classic. That bet alone brough him back about $24,000. For this feat, he got another $25,000 in prize money. (Although as a tough beat, he had a $700 straight tri with Zenyatta on top which certainly would have won it all).

My handicapping was not good at all but I managed to salvage a good chuck of my bankroll nailing cold exatcas in both the Juvenile and Mile (which were not exactly hard to come up with).

The contest was in the sixth floor Gold Room which has a balcony overlooking the finish line and is high enough up where you can see the whole track. We also got daily buffets on millionaires row and other assorted goodies.

Anyone who is going to bet a good sum on the BC races anyway should really give this a try next year.

(oh, and by the way, Michelle Yu is even better looking in real life).

Paul

Hey Bid, I wasn't sure you were aware of this or not, but when you were going on and on with your inane bashing of anyone that doesn't think Zenyatta is the second coming of Christ, I noticed that the Youtube video in your signature has been taken down!

After watching you dominate that beef brisket at kyd I'd stand to lose a finger putting a hot lunch down before you've eaten.

I like that a 7300 dollar win bet won it all.

Paul is it live bankroll or do you have to beat each breeders cup race. Can you just put it on a horse to win and be done.

You have to bet at least $600 per race in five races Friday and at least $900 per race in at least five races Saturday. Otherwise, you can bet any amount you want. WPS, exacta, or trifecta only.

Paul

It was great. Individual TVs and betting stations made betting very easy. The view rom that balcony had to be the best seats on the house.

The value of the tickets, seating, and food alone made this contest a great value.
