Calder Race Course


R9 – G3 My Charmer Handicap (Turf 9F)

#2 Trip for A. J. (6-1) – If left alone on the front end the rest will be running for 2nd. 2ND
#11 Mary’s Follies (7-2) – Nice comeback race in last and could improve off that effort.
#10 Askbut I Won’ttell (5-1) – Strong performance in G3 win at CD & Block is on fire. WON $15.80
#12 Akilina (15-1) – She always finds a way of completing the exotics.

R10 – Starter Alw 6.25k

#7 Atlantic Paws (6-1) 3RD
#5 Nicholas Vision (4-1) 4TH
#9 Pressure (5-1) 2ND
#1 Usain Again (8-1)

R11 – G2 Tropical Turf Handicap (Turf 9F)

#5 Midnight Mischief (6-1) – Despite trouble still managed to finish 2nd in G3 at CD in most recent outing.
#9 Rahystrada (6-1) – Expecting much better in 2nd start off the bench.
#8 Baletti (8-1) – Usually brings his late kick, will it be good enough? 3RD
#4 Tannersville (20-1) – In good form and doesn’t mind the quick turnaround.

PK3 – 2 11 / 5 7 9 / 5 8 9 = $18 (Punch it a few times)

R7 – Buddy Diliberto Memorial Handicap 60k (Turf 8.5F)

#1 Gran Estreno (Arg) (7-2) – Likes to win and is in razor sharp form. 2ND
#4 Strike Again (6-1) – Fits well with these and has been freshened up by capable new barn. WON $15.00
#2 Caberneigh (10-1) – Has the right style and will be ignored at the windows.
#7 Vanquisher (3-1) – Travels well and is super consistent at this level. 3RD

Gus,
What do you think of Calder sticking that claiming race in between? I know I have a big problem with it.
My Calder pick 3's will be up shortly.

Definitely not ideal, but the two stakes races offer great betting opportunities.

I would much rather have a race with horses with established form than a maiden race with a bunch off time starters, or a 2YO allw or claimer where the majority of runners have no more than 3 starts.
