well, if those 2 mules can run against Bernardini and David Junior,
I suppose Kip Deville has every right to try Librettist and Aussie Rules.

He has to have more of a chance to win the Mile than those 2 west coast horses do to win the BC Classic.

realistically though,
he does not stand much of a chance, IMO, to be competitive. I might think differently when the pps come out, but I doubt it.

hopefully this helps to return the thread to the subject of the BCMile instead of the whore that jerry went down on in Asia.

Repent,
When guys kick up a half a mill for a horse(who has already run back and earned a hell of a lot of that money) they pretty much have the right to do what they want with it.
Its a good group of guys who run IEAH. Mike Iavarone is a young guy, about 36, and Mike Sherack is even younger. If you go their webpage you can see that in each year of their existence they have won more and more money and won their first grade one this year as well(see my avatar!). They aren't dummies, far from it. I'm sure they realize that the horse is going to be a very long price.
But the horse is already in Kentucky, just won a stakes race, so they are saying WTF?
Its their money being paid for the entry fees and I don't really see who it hurts or why its a federal issue. Every year in the Derby horses are entered who have no shot, and a couple of years ago one of them won!!!

yeah,
agree completely.
I hope you dont think I was disprespecting the horse.
and Im not disrespecting the connections of Giacomo and BroDerek either.
they own the horses, do what they want with it.
they want to get their as* kicked by Bernardini, its their choice and their money.
Im the last person who would tell someone what to do with their horse(remember the whole property rights discussion?).
Im the guy who said they should keep running bluesthestandard as long as its profitable to do so.

Son,
Every year one or two of the type of horse you refer to makes a huge impact at the Breeders Cup. Every year. These tend not to be established multiple G 1 winners or necessarily graded winners at all. And more likely than expected, it will happen in one of the turf races. Perhaps you could check this out with Chris or one of the Georges.

Pent,
You werent disrespecting him. In the context of his chances to hit the board, I'd say the outlook is glum, and thats what we are discussing here.
But I'd give the poly wonders who just won at Keeneland about the same chances in their respective races.

Chris and the Georges are very busy folks.
I love spoiled rich kids who know it all, I really do.
I just picture them being youngsters and ordering the chauffeur to take them out and run over as many squirrels as he possibly can with the limo while they clap and cheer in the back seat.

yeah,
no kidding.

I cant even watch KEE without getting p*ssed off.
as ridiculous as the former speed bias was, this new inability to win on the lead is far worse.
and there is no way to draw a form line from KEE or TFWY to a dirt track.
all I can say is that it will give is a better price on horses like Spun Sugar and CQuay in their respective BC races.
I liked both before they went to KEE and I see no reason to get off of them now.
