Tom Cordero Benefit
For those of you who have not heard, Tom Cordero, Angel's son, who was also Richard Migliore's jock agent before his retirement, recently underwent major surgery to remove a skull based tumor. A benefit is being held for Tom on Monday, February 28, 2011 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Jake Austin's located at 144 Tulip Avenue, Floral Park, New York.
Those in the NY metropolitan area will have an opportunity to meet and greet Hall of Fame jockeys Angel Cordero, Jose Santos, Jorge Velasquez, and likely several others. There will be raffles, silent auctions on sports memorabilia and other opportunities to win prizes all for a very good cause. For more information consult Facebook at "Benefit for Tom Cordero." saw Cordero at GP yesterday, my thoughts and prayers are with him and his son, as I can relate to his exact situation. Seeing Angel who looked pretty good brought back some great memories
