Default samyn loses a few fingers

Jean Luc Samyn recently lost a good part of two fingers and broke his thumb on his right hand during a snowblower accident.
The Veteran jockey said he will still return to the saddle ,
hopefully the end of March after some therapy.
Good luck to him and hopefully the snow is over !!!

It's not an "accident" when you stick your hand near running snowblower blades

Well, glad he's now wiser, and glad he still has a career, apparently, and can still hold reins. Lucky guy. Hope he recovers quickly. That's a shame.

I'm sorry to hear this. I wish him a speedy recovery and that he can easily compensate.

What's going on with these poor jocks? One thing after the next.

He couldn't even ride when he had all of his fingers.

The story reminded me of my childhood growing up in the 'LP Ghetto'

Around the time I was in 3rd grade - the menace of the area was a guy known only as "fing-ahs" ... he lost a few of his fingers in a work accident and got a check from it. He became the John Gotti of the LP Ghetto.
